  • No customer service

I had the app for almost 4 months before I was able to finally get epcs gold linked so that I could send scheduled drugs.
During all of this time, I kept asking for customer service and all you get is emails back-and-forth, which just confirm things you’ve already done. I finally got it to work after several months and my phone was stolen.
I went to the website tried to figure out how to restore everything on it when you click on the tab for lost phone and restore. It states that you’re not eligible to view this page. I contacted customer service many times over several days. I asked please could I have someone to talk to to walk me through the steps. I was finally told that there is no customer service to make a phone call to, and they kept sending me the same step over and over.
Do not waste your time with this application, especially if you need to use it for scheduled drugs because it is the most complicated ridiculous system I’ve ever seen. And if you have a problem, no one will get back to you.

  • Poor customer support

Have been using it for a couple of years. Started out free and then they started charging which I happily paid because I had good service initially when issues came up: I hardly write for controlled substances but I have been trying for months to get a mailer so I can write for controlled substances with no success. Tried sending an email and the response is not automatic. It can take an hour or two to get a response by the time I get the response I often have had to move onto other tasks, like patient care. I would not recommend this app because it has such poor customer support. Sadly it is going to be a pain to transfer all my patients data to another app.

  • Customer service has declined

They used to have live customer service which helped me greatly when I first started. Now all customer service is via the internet by sending messages and the responses strike me as scripted. For more than a month I have tried to add on the capacity to prescribe controlled substances and have not received the mailer. After 2 failed mailings, I was told to just order another one. Really? There was mo acknowledgment of the need inconvenience to me or alternative solution given their method if mailing failed twice. I was told “we sent it to your address to on file” I dont have issues getting mail ag my address. There is an FAQ for “if you did not receive your mailer” makes me wonder if Im not the only one to have this issue. I went from being one of the first people to use the platform and it was free. Now Im paying and watching the customer service go downhill. Am looking into other options but I prepaid for a year. Disappointed doesnt begin to express my feelings about this app.

  • Support not efficient/ app with log in glitches

I have never used the app since I registered for it about 2-3 years ago. Wanted to use it recently and the log in failed ( too many security loopholes) and trying to get support is a disaster: long waits- I called during the day & after 45 minutes had to hang up because didn’t get to talk to anyone ( no estimate wait time is given )& it’s frustrating.
Right now, while I’m writing this review, I am on hold waiting for customer support person to resolve log in issues for over an hour . My total time being on the phone as of now ( before I got connected:40 minutes & after I got connected with a person : 60 minutes so far!!) is 100 minutes……………. Not reasonable by any standards.
Hope the review will make a good productive & constructive difference by people in charge.

    Developer Response

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review and we're sorry your experience with support has been less than great. We hear you and are working on improving our support, which has been outpaced by our growth. In the mean time, please shoot an email to hello@iprescribe.com and we'll get you squared away.
  • Okay for non-controlled substances

Takes so long to input info on a patient as opposed to just calling the pharmacy. For controlled substances, extremely difficult with verifying with two factor authentication. Also, it says you have to verify with a different device if using the mobile app. Well, the app does not allow you to use a computer so I suppose I have to either have two phones with the app or use my iPad. I still haven’t been able to send a controlled substance and may not renew my subscription with them if I can’t resolve this in the next month. Also, if you call DrFirst who manages the app, I can never talk to a real person to resolve the issue. Always on hold

  • Terrible, frustrating, deceptive

Nothing but trouble with this app. Password stops working regularly, I have to delete it and load it again. This runs smoothly about half the time.
I REALLY dislike their texting my patients shortly after I send in a prescription electronically-they start off telling my patients ”Hi, this is Dr. Jones, please go to such and such web site and fill out this info…”.
THEY are collecting information by falsely telling my patients that I am the one collecting it! This is dishonest, deceptive, and unethical. I complained, and their response was “It’s legal”.

  • Great customer service

I have been using this app for about a year now. It takes some getting used to, especially when prescribing controlled substances and using 2FA, but overall it's pretty easy to use. Customer service has always been great and I've never had an issue reaching them.
  • Don’t expect tech support for this app.

If you download and use this app, you better hope it works and continues to work. The have a web site with a knowledge base, and a bot to chat with, and even a toll free number, which they don’t display on their website, and make you hunt for. Nobody ever answers the tech support line—ever. Doesn’t matter how many times you call or how long you wait. Nobody’s home. If you use this app, you are on your own. Use an alternative, if possible.

  • Pop ups

Love this app. But every time I submit a prescription a pop up comes out saying that an sms message cannot be sent to the patient. Which is fine, as I tell my patients to call pharmacy to see if prescription is ready. But the pop up stays there until you close it. It didn’t used to do that before.
  • Will not open

I have used iPrescribe for some time successfully. Last use the app one month ago and then went on vacation. Today I tried using it again and the app will not open on the iPhone or the iPad. The icon appears as if it will open but never progresses. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app without success. I hope that the developers will fix this soon since I depend on this app to write prescriptions in California

I tried your solution and the app works fine now. Thanks
