  • Only one thing missing

The app works great as a whole. As Im getting older, I really like to be able to notice a hard brake that may have occurred without it being necessary to avoid an accident. This helps me realize that in certain parts of town, I need to be more aware of where I will encounter things like large bumps, etc.

The only thing missing is to be able to “pause” or restart a drive when you go through a drive through and want to pay using your phone.

I always have to tap that I'm not driving in order to not have it not shown as distracted driving. Then my trip may only show a few miles of the actual trip since I generally will stop on the way home.

  • Navigation:

I think I get penalized for navigation app because I touch the screen when needed. I don’t have the phone in my hand when doing this. It is in a phone holder, no different than touching the radio. Just not fair. Other than that I like the app. At times it does cause problems when I am the only one going the speed limit.

  • Doesn’t actually know who is driving

I do all the driving and my husband and I have one vehicle. After every trip we make I have to take his phone and make him the passenger on all the trips that it says he is the driver. And the trips don’t show up at all on my phone either as the passenger or driver when it shows on his phone as the driver. I think this app is sexist assuming that men do the driving. Also when using my gps to find a location and my phone is in its cradle it shows up as distracted driving. The vehicle is not in motion when I program the next address so I am not driving at the time of programming. Also I was stopped engine turned off at my sisters house once and she wasn’t home so I pulled out my phone to text her that I had dropped something off on her front porch and it came up as distracted driving. I like the 20% discount but not that I noticed it because the rates have gone up.

I love this app as it will make you accountable for your driving!!
I find myself excited at the end of the day to review my driving trips and aim so hard to get in the GREEN! After two days I have become GREEN with my braking!

  • Drains my battery!

I tried downloading this APP a week or so ago but it was drawing my battery on a daily basis. It took me awhile to figure out it was this APP affecting my battery. I deleted the APP & my battery went back to normal. I also just bought a new iPhone 13 so I shouldn’t have battery issues at all. I just downloaded this APP again & will try it one more time. Isn’t there a way to NOT have GPS constantly draining my battery to run this APP? It should be smarter than that. My iPhone is set to turn on driving notifications to people who text me while driving. It doesn’t drain my battery! And it always knows when I’m in my car!

  • Proper speed

I have found several areas that the app says I am speeding when in fact I was going 10 miles under the posted speed limit. I know several areas like this so I try to avoid, but it is a often hard to do and then others get mad because I am driving too slow. I often wonder how many areas are like this? Also sometimes it doesn’t record a trip.

  • Not accurate in some situations

This app is not accurate, and after complaining with evidence of its inaccuracies, the record for my driving wasn’t fixed. What was the problem? The official speed limit in Montana and South Dakota is 80 mph, which is flagged by this app as excessive speeding (despite being the legal speed limit). Also in some remote areas, some cell phone services are not able to post ongoing speed to the app. The disruptions creates inaccurate speeds. Also, this app is very sensitive to hard breaking and accelerating. But on and off ramps to freeways—especially in big cities—require more aggressive driving. I am a cautious driver who follows speed limits. I know what I do on the road and this app is inaccurate

  • Drains battery, inaccurate/not counting drives

I don’t know what it is about this app, but it just kills my phone battery. I even have a newer iPhone and it still does it. It doesn’t always count my drives, no matter where I set it at in the car while driving. It’s way too sensitive for hard brakes and acceleration. I don’t have low power mode on when driving because it says it won’t count the drive due to not being able to refresh the app. But if I don’t have that on, my phone is down 20% on a 30 minute drive with nothing else on.

  • Distracted! Not me ever

Simply stating, I thought I was never a distracted driver. This Know Your Drive App proved me wrong.
This app is so accurate it can’t be dismissed when your the driver.
You can zoom in on your road trip and see where you may have been distracted, speeding or hard braking.
Opens the door for so much improvement and cost savings on your policy.
    Thanks Tony Gabriele

  • Truck Driver

This is by far the worst thing I have ever seen. There is absolutely no science in this ap. It has no idea what kind of a vehicle your in ie… a bout, all terrain vehicle, commercial vehicle, your personal vehicle, bicycle… it works on your gps location which says if your moving or not and how fast the posted speed limit is in conjunction which the phone moving, it can sense swipes so if you swipe to answer a call while the phone is moving your distracted even if your using a hands free device. It has no idea if your a passenger or driving, who knows you may be on a greyhound bus and you set your phone down your distracted, this is a joke a complete misrepresentation of distracted driving and to think this is coming from a leader in the insurance field
