Give us password reminders not just password resets!

I think your app is fine other than the fact that yours is the only company I’ve ever banked with that does not have an option to choose of sending an email with your password reminder if you answer all of the prompts correctly instead of an automatic password reset if you are locked out from trying too many times.

This practice is discriminatory against people with memory issues such as the elderly, autistic, ADHD and other learning-disabled customers. This issue is compounded with the fact that you cannot get an actual person on the phone to unlock your account over the weekend so have to wait until Monday to get any help. Making the situation worse over is the more password resets you do, the less likely you will be to remember your most recent password you were forced to create just to look up your own account information like your non-learning disabled community members. I’ve brought this up before and requested it be escalated for consideration by decision-makers and heard encouraging words but nothing has ever changed.

Let’s change this! Do something good to help your customers! If I’m having trouble with this then many other people are as well! Hasn’t this last year been hard enough? Can’t we simplify this one thing for so many?

Thank you,

Mobile deposit problem....

EDIT: still love this app, but one thing that has become worse since the last update is the mobile deposit. It allows me to take pictures and start the process but will then kick me out with an unidentifiable error multiple times. I don’t make very many mobile deposits, but my partner was just doing one today and mentioned that he kept getting kicked out as well.

After they updated it (approximately 6-8 months ago) I would say it’s one of the best financial management apps out there. I haven’t used it for anything other than the basics, but I feel very comfortable using it now.

Much Improved

New review (September 2020): The app is much improved since my previous review. It is reasonably well laid out and functions like mobile deposit now work well and and allow deposit of multiple checks sequentially. It would be nice if I didn’t have to choose an account for each deposit when multiple check deposits are going into the same accounts.

Old review: The app is certainly a good idea, but is buggy. It is common when trying to make a mobile deposit that it reports some error or just kicks me out of the app.

This app should be scrapped

Key functionality continuously unavailable. I don’t need it all the time yet whenever I do want it (mobile deposit, PopMoney) it doesn’t work. I’ve just made a transfer that showed, then I got kicked out, then I logged in and the transfer no longer showed in account summary, then I initiated a PopMoney payment, then I got kicked out, then I logged in, then the transfer showed again, but I have not received email confirmation of the PopMoney payment and PopMoney now won’t open due to “Unknown Error.”

So, like, it’s pretty and everything but it’s incredibly, painfully slow, and it crashes all the time. Really, seriously, reconsider this whole endeavor. The prior system from like 5 years ago had all the same user functionality with no bs.

Was great until they removed the ability to pay credit card bill

The redesign of this app is miles better than it's predecessor. The use of FaceID is a nice touch as well. Basically anything you can do in Mobile banking you can do via the app. One issue though, they REMOVED the ability to pay your credit card bill. Well, technically you're still able to, but all the app says is "For credit card bills, use the account transfer function." Alright OnPoint, that's all well and good, except there's NO indication that the transfer goes through, or that the bill has been paid for. This is my credit we are talking about, I need to know if my bill has been paid. It needs to be clear and it should NOT have just been removed as a separate function in the app. I'm bewildered as to how this change happened. I just want peace of mind knowing my bill has been paid.

Tremendous Improvement

The first rollout of the OnPoint app was simple, did what you needed. But THIS one actually helps you manage your money conveniently. Plus I really love the updated platform, being able to use Face ID, the Budget and Spending features. The messages section is a little clunky to me, but not something I regularly use. I do wish there was a way to Show/Hide accounts (checking, savings, etc) right from the main page, instead of through settings. Other than that, this new OnPoint app is fantastic!

Convenient

I like having the app for quick access to all my accounts. Its also very convenient to have an option to freeze your accounts incase I get my purse stolen - it takes much longer to freeze/close your account over the phone. The only criticism I have for this app os that it really bothers me how the accounts keep shifting up or down when I scroll or touch them. I wish there was a way to just lock them in the order I would like to see them and not have to keep re-arranging them. Other than that it’s great and convenient to have access from my phone.

It’s getting better

Mobile app is improving. I still think the mobile deposit feature has room for improvement, although it deposits much faster now. Here are some ideas for a better mobile deposit feature:

1) allow us to capture the image by touching the screen instead of a side button (See Rivermark’s app)

2) add a flash! (Again see Rivermark’s app) My phone and hand create a shadow of I’m backlit by a ceiling light. A flash would resolve this.

3) the grayed our capture area doesn’t show what’s actually being photographed. I can put the check in the capture area and see my feet or a credit card in the picture, even though it wasn’t in the frame. Who knows what kind of personal info you could be capturing on a messy desk.

—My workaround is to fill the screen with my check, beyond the grayed our capture area... and my checks deposit just fine, without capturing my feet or a credit card sitting on the desk.

Online Banking Made Easy!!!

This new app is the best! It is easy to navigate and everything I need to know about my account is available through any of the options in the menu! I have never been able to keep track of an account this easily in my life!!!! For those of you that are not tech savvy this app is very easy to use and it is organized so well that when you get to the menu there is really no question you will have unanswered. Im loving this app....if you don’t have it....you need to get it!!! *Brettney*

Somehow Even Worse

I am genuinely surprised that they managed to make their app worse! The old app was very rough around the edges, and still didn’t even offer proper screen support for an iPhone 6 in 2018! Yet, it was functional and reliable.
They then made the extremely questionable decision of creating a new separate (yet identical) app instead of simply updating the one that already existed, and then forced us to download it.
The interface is technically more modern, but still not well done. Buttons routinely do not respond, mobile deposit is borderline unusable, and the overall scale and design of text and content is poorly thought out. I am deeply disappointed with this app. I literally need it to do two things, and it can barely handle that.
The only saving grace is that they finally added support for biometric login, but for some reason it requires you to press a “Touch ID” button (which again doesn’t consistently respond) before using it, and that really doesn’t make sense.
