App is good could be better

Recent update has improved connection
Finally the app can now connect via hotspot without crashing, essential if you use wireless car play which disables your wife connection.
Now please work towards a stable connection. Connection holds for about 1 minute before dropping out, which needs a disable/re-enable of phones hotspot and then connection via the app. Unable to view a full video before connection drops.
Also the ability to scrub through videos is desperately needed.Show lessRicci Lee

No stars , it’s that bad I’ve had to get my old iPhone on iOS 12.4.1to get internet stay connected on hotspot to access the app / dash cam , as iOS 14.1 it won’t hold internet connection via hotspot as dash cam doesn’t connect to smartphone , like I say the product goes down the pan with such a poor app for access ( which now doesn’t work with iOS 14 ) by the looks of it , and don't bother with help desk , they are just as hopeless that’s if they get back to you ......
I’d look elsewhere for next dash cam when I change my car , Thinkware are not a good option ....due to this appShow lessMP...............
This software makes me want to change camera brands
I hate this software so much that I want to swap out my dash camera for a different brand. I needed to find video today of an incident that occurred. I knew that time range but I wasn’t sure which video file it was. So how do we view video? Click on the file and WAIT FOR IT TO DOWNLOAD. Yes, wait for the file to Download before you can view the video. Apparently the people commenting on these reviews don’t know how their own software works. It’s ridiculous.Show lessJade3264
Take the product back
I’ve had this a couple of months now, I can’t get it to work on my phone at all! I’m using iPhone XR.
Absolutely shocking product and features, thou I wouldn’t know cause I can’t use them! I’m getting mine removed and getting my money back!pinkdturtle
Thinkware - Think-again !
Apps now Closed! Previously said it sent info to email address- never received emails. Couldn’t read the too small print to log in. Needs major overhaul!

Not happy
Just installed the Q800 pro , the app is terrible ! Or it could be the dash cam ? , takes numerous attempts to connect to latest iPhone and then it freezes sometimes , have to delete app then upload it and start again , hotspot won’t even work at all tried both of our new iPhones both are the same , followed instructions , starting to think I should have bought another brand ! .Show lesswayne from ippy
Look before buying a Thinkware product.
The f800 pro are a good dash cam , the app is a big let down the geo field will not work in the uk , the was good to view the recording but now the new update has made the app unusable after the last update the app just crashes every time you go in and will not open, the response you get is the same email contact support but are of no help because this app has not worked fully from the first day I downloaded it, make the app as good as the cameras and I would be happy, but if not I wouldn’t buy a Thinkware product again and I would not recommend any one to buy because the app lets it down .Show lesscladlius
No Satisfaction!
Live view in Parking Mode via Thinkware Cloud was the major reason I bought the U1000 and iVolt battery pack.
And since Chevrolet sells the F800 I thought it a safe bet.
I fully understood that this would require Internet connectivity separate from the vehicle’s hotspot. But as of yet, I have been unable to get it to connect to ANYTHING but my iPhone hotspot. It will not even connect to the hotspot in the Chevrolet. Yes, I am setting it up correctly.
Additionally, the iVolt battery pack was CLEARY previously installed and returned to the box with a SECOND “seal” decal. One of the Add a Fuse Taps had been poorly connected to the charging cable, and the Velcro strips were installed clumsily on the battery with the adhesive exposed on the other strips and thus stuck to the Quick Start Guide and Warranty booklet. At first I wasn’t too upset about this as it was the last one Thinkware had in stock and was too easy to workaround.
The app is clumsy to use, the video quality is great WHEN it isn’t all white and pixelated, you MUST download the User Manual and read EVERY word to get the thing connected to the cloud. The only reason that I “believe” it is due to the GPS locator facility. Have yet to download a single thing from the cloud.
Paid $800 for “The best.” Didn’t get it.Show lessdashcamless57
