  • Why Don’t You Skip Shaving?

    I get that an app for a grooming product will have suggestions for purchasing more product. But, when the advice seems centered on using the product less, it’s time to stop drinking the Kool-Aide. It literally suggests shaving less with their product to avoid irritating your skin and the style section is a lot about what beard you should grow - actual clean-shaven is oddly absent. And the guided shave is a joke: “Use smaller circles” is its only advice, but its rating of your shave doesn’t correlate with how big your move the shaver and it doesn’t tell you what the shaver is actually measuring to give you feedback. On the plus side, this app is just as mediocre as the shave, so that’s consistent.

  • Simply The Best !

    I’ve used shavers of all makes and models over the years, but this Series 9000 is The Best Ever !
    I’ve never been able to Dry Shave, but with this I can, and the lack of irritation is amazing !

  • The app is junk

    Downloaded and paired with my iPhone 12 no problem and it worked as expected for the first 3 days. After that the thing would not connect, no matter what I did or how many times I tried. I followed the instructions (holding down the power switch for 10 secs etc) to no avail. I even uninstalled the app and re-installed it twice with no joy. I am thinking of returning the razor and sticking with Braun.

  • Useless

    The dumbest app I’ve ever been forced to install and it doesn’t let me do anything. I literally have to let the cheap razor do whatever it wants and get scolded if I don’t. App is basically for customer tracking and upsell.

    Won’t connect to shaver even though it says found shaver.
  • Forced sign up

    Let’s you use the app for a few weeks without creating an account but then hits you with an impassable nag screen. Lame.
  • Worst app ever

    I have never downloaded such a useless app. Refuses to stay connected. My phone Bluetooth shows it is connected but the app says is isn’t and requires me to try again. After trying again it still doesn’t connect and requires you to remove the originally connected device from Bluetooth and start again. Do not bother with this app, your life is too short for the frustration

We kindly recommend you to try the following: Step 1: Press and hold the shaver power button for 10-12 seconds (until the app notification symbol on the shaver starts to blink). Step 2: Unpair your phone with your shaver. - Go to phone Settings -> General -> Bluetooth -> Select the shaver device and press "forget device" (this may differ per phone manufacturer). Step 3: Completely close (kill) and then restart the app. Step 4: Now, try to pair again by following instructions in the app. If the above does not bring improvement, we'd like to invite you to reach out to us via social media, so we can investigate the issue further and look for a solution.   • Gaslighting and Privacy Violations

    This app harasses you repeatedly to give Philips personal information about you so they can sell your data. Why on earth would an electric shaver need to track your location? It helps companies Adobe and Google build a profile of who you are, where you go, what you do, and when. The shave feedback is useless. It measures how much of the time the shaver thinks you were moving in a circular motion and if it’s 59% or lower it tells you’re doing a bad job. It’s an arbitrary number that has nothing to do with the quality of your shave… but it’s there to gaslight you so you’ll think you need their tracking app to teach you. Download it once, give them zero personal data, then go to settings and turn off the shaving feedback feature so the shaver will stop showing you the useless feedback icon. Then delete the app and leave Philips a 1-star review. As long as they think consumers believe this nonsense, they’ll keep pushing it and selling us out.

Location permission is asked by the phone's operating system when using Bluetooth/connected devices (for both iOS and Android). It is our company policy that we do not store confidential information without your consent. During each session, the app tracks your progress and sets the shaving parameters that will ensure maximum comfort on your skin. This also helps creating the personalized shaving experience based on the shared data. Although signing in is not mandatory, it gives you freedom to restore your GroomTribe app data and settings if you reinstall the app or switch phones.
