Gaslighting and Privacy Violations

This app harasses you repeatedly to give Philips personal information about you so they can sell your data. Why on earth would an electric shaver need to track your location? It helps companies Adobe and Google build a profile of who you are, where you go, what you do, and when. The shave feedback is useless. It measures how much of the time the shaver thinks you were moving in a circular motion and if it’s 59% or lower it tells you’re doing a bad job. It’s an arbitrary number that has nothing to do with the quality of your shave… but it’s there to gaslight you so you’ll think you need their tracking app to teach you. Download it once, give them zero personal data, then go to settings and turn off the shaving feedback feature so the shaver will stop showing you the useless feedback icon. Then delete the app and leave Philips a 1-star review. As long as they think consumers believe this nonsense, they’ll keep pushing it and selling us out.

Your feedback is appreciated and will be noted. Please know that the app doesn't collect your location data. Location permission is asked by the phone's operating system when using Bluetooth/connected devices (for both iOS and Android). It is our company policy that we do not store confidential information without your consent. During each session, the app tracks your progress and sets the shaving parameters that will ensure maximum comfort on your skin. This also helps creating the personalized shaving experience based on the shared data. Although signing in is not mandatory, it gives you freedom to restore your GroomTribe app data and settings if you reinstall the app or switch phones. Don't hesitate to send an email to privacy@philips.com if you have any additional questions or concerns.

Total joke

Are you kidding me with this app??? I’m using an iPhone 13 pro and so far the camera is completely cocked at the wrong angle so I cannot see myself while holding the phone any which way. Half of the screens within the app aren’t formatted properly so it’s like looking at a desktop version of a website in your phone. Please do better Philips, I just blew $249 on you dang shaver the least you can do is have a functional app!!!!!

Morello grooming app

Didn’t give too much thought about using the app, glad that I did.
Was shaving incorrectly for years and didn’t know it.
Recommend it highly, it works!

Can’t even Register Shaver

App is awful, can’t find my shaver after repeated attempts at registration. Bluetooth is connected but still unable to register shaver. ☹️

Useless

Well I managed 1 shave and now won’t stay connected for more than 10 seconds, this is probably the worst smart app I’ve ever encountered. The shaver itself is very good but I am very disappointed that Philips can’t seem to get their act together with regards to app development I have the same issues with other Philips apps

Regarding the connection issue you're facing: please update the app to the latest version and try the following: press and hold the shaver power button for 10-12 seconds --> in the phone Settings - General - Bluetooth - Select the shaver device and press "forget device". --> Completely close and restart the app, then try to pair again. Useless if you are visually impaired

I am legally blind and use a screen reader. Some of the controls on this app aren’t even labeled. I was able to pair the shaver, but my model isn’t even listed so that was a dead end, too. The page with the Videos is also useless, as it keeps popping the screen reader up to the top of the page. I couldn’t access any of the videos. I realize this only affects a small percentage of your user base but it’s very disappointing.
