Hi there, thank you for reviewing the GroomTribe app and our apologies for the late response. We regret to hear that you don't find the advice the app gives helpful. Your feedback is appreciated and will be noted. Please know that the app doesn't collect your location data. Location permission is asked by the phone's operating system when using Bluetooth/connected devices (for both iOS and Android). It is our company policy that we do not store confidential information without your consent. During each session, the app tracks your progress and sets the shaving parameters that will ensure maximum comfort on your skin. This also helps creating the personalized shaving experience based on the shared data. Although signing in is not mandatory, it gives you freedom to restore your GroomTribe app data and settings if you reinstall the app or switch phones. Don't hesitate to send an email to privacy@philips.com if you have any additional questions or concerns.

Regarding the connection issue you're facing: please update the app to the latest version and try the following: press and hold the shaver power button for 10-12 seconds --> in the phone Settings - General - Bluetooth - Select the shaver device and press "forget device". --> Completely close and restart the app, then try to pair again.
