I don’t like that this app only chooses certain pictures as similars. In my screenshots for example they do not even appear in similars and that is why I got the app because I know I have a ton of screenshots like over 6000 and some are doubles. Is there a way to see if my screenshots are similar? Disappointed it shows me the lesser of pictures that are similar and I could have done that without this app. I want to be able to see similar pictures from my whole library of pictures not just what the app picked

  • Happy

Time is money and this has saved me a lot of time I don’t have to spare. When you have a toddler, you want to capture their milestones and great memories without being told by your phone that there is no space. Taking time to delete all the less than perfect portions to make room for better ones (especially when you also have a business that takes up phone space is priceless). Not only can I take more pictures sooner to 1. Capture my son and 2. Take photographs of items to sell but I have the peace of mind that it didn’t take away my sleep time, and I’m not worried about accidentally deleting something I want to keep. This app helped me get rid of the unneeded yet undeleted. Thank you! 👏

  • Photos only

While I loved that it helped eliminate many duplicate photos and photos that I simply didn’t want anymore, I was actually looking for an app that would clear out files in “other” in my iPad storage which is taking up more than half of the space on my iPad. Since my photos are in the cloud, eliminating almost 1,000 photos, it did nothing to make room on my iPad. But it clean up a lot of junky photos.

I recommend this app for anyone who takes lots of the same shots in order to get the best one. This app helps pick out the best photos of a similar group and you select which ones you want to keep.

  • FINALLY A GEMINI I CAN GET ALONG WITH!

Now usually a Gemini is not the most compatible for my sign (Leo) and I have a past of VERY traumatizing experiences with Gemini’s and even my dad is a Gemini, they’re very two faced but I found this app very useful and easy to get along with. It literally has saved me so much time with deleting multiple shots of the same image and I’m very aggressive with the camera buttons i often find 10-20 of the same pic every time I take a photo so this app was a must for me! It even picks the best quality photo for you allowing you to go and select which one you like the best if you chose to do so . Give it a try!!!!

  • Difficult Tinder UI for algorithms that don’t work

Confirming whether to keep or delete a photo requires swiping all the way up or down a huge iPad screen, which is very awkward. It doesn’t matter though, because for your subscription it doesn’t detect duplicates — of which I know I have many — and doesn’t accurately label photos as “blurry” or indeed any other category. It was useless for managing my photos.

  • Pretty great

My only complaintWith this app is this: if you tap a photo to look at it before you allow it to be deleted, and then you close it again, note the number of photos that are going to be deleted. Sometimes I only look at one photo and all of a sudden the app has selected 39 photos to delete. I learned right away to select a couple and delete them, select a couple and delete them, and go through it that way. Because if you think you’re going to go through the whole file and then partway through you want to look at a photo, opening and closing it will cause the app to add some random number of photos to your delete pile that you have not selected. Fix this, and I’ll change my rating upward. Thanks!

  • Almost useless

    1) The app tries to delete what seem to be high-res originals and retain low-res copies.

    2) There‘s no indication of RAW-JPG pairs, neither is it clear if it‘s going to delete RAW or JPG images while destroying the pair associations.

    3) There is no way to inspect EXIF data, or file names, as Photos has somehow taken a bunch of files and duplicated them with some meaningless UUID as „name“, while the originals have the original file name as name. The app makes no distinction and doesn‘t let the user select which file to delete based on meaningful information..
    ...etc. etc.

    4) The app doesn‘t even handle landscape mode, how exactly do they think any photographer worth his salt is going to use the iPad most of the time? Oh, like maybe with a MagicKeyboard or Keyboard Folio, but in any case mostly in landscape mode, because likely the vast majority of pictures is in landscape mode. But the app insists on running in portrait mode... Really?

Do I need to go on?

Did I mention the app is almost useless?

It‘s useful for the typical Apple DPU who has no clue what they are doing and wants to clean up a mess without caring about which images are deleted, etc.

Anyone who even comes close to using pictures in an advanced or even professional way: HANDS OFF until they have a major rewrite of this app.

Did I mention the app is almost useless?

And I was hoping someone would finally write an app like that which would actually be useful....

  • Too many exact duplicates missed to be worth anything more than a single months subscription

I have tried numerous softwares to identify the vast number of duplicates I have on my phone and computer and this is no better than any of the others. This has identified a large number but they obvious yet it classifies 40,000 as similar yet 80% are exact duplicates and selecting each and setting for deletion is tedious. The software only allows for one selection at a time so I estimate it will take me 100 days to sort this out. So only buy a months subscription and throw it away after a month as it delivers little value after a first pass.

  • Really great

Really great but still not the best it could be.
This app helps me manage my iCloud space and stay on a lower tier plan but still doesn’t make me fully comfortable to use for the following reasons:

    • every time I open the app it has to process everything all over again. Can’t you use a bg processing task to do this when my phone is charging or something?
    • the little check marks endlessly confuse me. Am I keeping or deleting this photo?! Why not use a X or trash icon to give me more confidence with what this action does?
    • Even delete duplicates is confusing. I have doubles of almost everything but I tried to select only one of each double because the design doesn’t make clear to me that the original will remain. Consider showing the “original” in the stack and greying it out to signify that it’ll stay there but I can’t delete it?
    • sometimes duplicates shows what look like photos but are actually videos with TINY playback bars!! I almost deleted what looked like a ton of bad photos but were actual videos with bad thumbnails. This is a pretty big visual bug imo! Videos must be more visually distinct as such or they might get mistaken for photos and quickly, accidentally deleted.

  • Deleted all copies of my photos!

At first this seemed like a great idea. Quickly finds duplicate photos and displays them well.
Be careful though, it deleted lots of my photos I wanted to keep!!

I deleted lots of photos, keeping just one of most of them. Then, by chance I went back to look at a specific photo and couldn’t find it. I know what it was as it was a photo of the colosseum in Rome. Searched by date also and it was nowhere to be found. Luckily, it was still in the ‘Recently deleted’ folder. I recovered it and many others as well which would have been lost. However many are lost forever as the 30 day limit on them had expired.
I think it has to do with personal folders separate to the main ‘camera roll’ and the app looking at these along with camera roll. When deleted from one they are deleted from both!
Not happy as I have lost many memories that can’t be recovered.
