  • Fantastic!

This is now the only music app used on my iPhone. Streaming my Plex library of flac files sounds incredible in my car. So far I have had only a single instance of connectivity issues, and that was caused by my cable provider. Otherwise no buffering whatsoever. The only playback issue that I would hope to see improvement on is that the app doesn’t always remember where I was when listening to my entire library on shuffle, but to me that’s a very minor problem. The presentation of the album art and track info is gorgeous, and my only other wish would be that the text in dark mode would be changed to all white, the gray used there is a bit hard to read. Other than that, I’m thrilled to have found this app. Kudos to the developers, really well done!

  • Good Streaming With CarPlay

Every time I open the app the screen that lists the latest updates displays, annoying. Still periodically making me restore my purchase, that is getting a little annoying, too. Would be nice if previously saved filters where there when reopening the app. On a positive note the Issues with Apple CarPlay seem to be fixed. This is the best steaming app I’ve found and I’ve tried several. This is the only one I’ve found with CarPlay which is a nice feature.

  • Plex music user rejoice

At this point, prism is the only app that allows you to access your plex music library in CarPlay. It’s a bit of a work in progress, but that alone makes it a must buy. The developer is very responsive to feedback, so I have even higher hopes for prism down the road. Clean, logical music browsing.
  • In App Paywall/ no iTunes cloud support

First and foremost, there is a $5 in app paywall. Granted, I don’t mind paying for a good app, but I definitely don’t want to pay $5 for each of my family members accounts. That’s a deal breaker for families.
Also, this app doesn’t support my iTunes cloud music. The only way to access them through this app is by going to the music app, and individually downloading everything before returning here to import it all.

  • Small advised

I have downloaded it. This is really a nice and smart player I ever had. Besides that, there are some suggests i would like you improve in next version. IU controller should have a little blur backgroud, controller icon and image preview smaller. I think it’s really nice if you’re put a little shadow around image. Numbers count will be better if they aren’t on the song’s icon or you can remove it. Everything is black and white is the best and keep it simple. Nice job!

    Developer Response

Hi, Can you email me at feedback@prism-music.app so we can discuss your suggestions in more detail? Thanks!
  • It’s good but not great

The app has a really versatile style and has features I love. The only thing is I wish there was a shuffle button when you pick a song. Ex. If I choose a song through song name and it is in song song order, how am I able to shuffle it without skipping the current song being played?
  • A Lifesaver!!!

Been looking for this exact thing for the LONGEST time!!! My only complaint is I would prefer when a song to be playing to be able to see full info on the song, as opposed to an Acronym of sorts. For example: Song Title/Artist/Album Name. Other than that, AWESOME app!! WELL worth the money spent!!
  • The Plex Music App that you’ve been waiting for

If you’re someone that uses Plex for Music, then you need to try Prism. It’s completely dedicated to Music, and it’s powered by your existing Plex Library. There is nothing else on the App Store that offers this. It’s better than the official Plex App. Fast performance and slick interface. It does not currently support offline downloads, but that feature is coming. It’s the best self-hosted music system for iOS.
