  • Motion Zones Don’t Work Through App

    The app works great. The user interface is definitely more flawless than the Lorex pro app. The only issue is that you cannot set motion zones through the app. It allows you to do it but they don’t work unless you do it directly through the NVR. Fixing this would be very beneficial for lorex users.

  • Opening or swiping push notification alert leads to live view, not event viewing.

    Before you updated your app, I used to be able to just swipe the alert notification and be taken directly to the motion event video clip that caused the alert, regardless if the app was open or closed in the background. But not anymore. Below describes the application bug.

    I get a push notification alert letting me know someone is in my yard, according to my motion alert setting. I swipe the push notification alert to watch the video motion event clip. Instead of showing me the event video that captured the motion event, the notification alert takes me to a live viewing of that camera, instead of showing me the motion video event clip. I then, have to navigate to the bottom of the app, click the EVENTS tab, click the camera that detected the motion and finally I can see the clip. HOWEVER, I noticed this issue or bug exists only when I have the app closed and not running in the background. If I have the app open, but minimized in the background and then swipe open the push alert notification, I would then be taken directly to the video that caused the event.

    I have Lorex Device Model N864A6. I have iPhone 15 Pro with iOS version 17.6.1.

  • Keeps removing devices

    This app keeps removing my devices by itself. Once i add a devices to my account it should stay a part of my account but for some reason this al deletes them randomly. How can i go add a wireless camera at 3am when its in the same room as my daughter who is sleeping. The whole point in surveillance is reliability but unfortunately this app is unreliable.

  • Stopped working and forgot all my cameras

    I had two cameras they were working fine. I rebooted my iphone 12 for another reason and now the lorex app says “tap to add your first device” like it just completely forgot that my two cameras even existed

  • Slow on the notifying

    So for 1 I just retired a fully operational Swann system for this Lorex system as it was 4k and Swann was over notifying and full of false alarms but as I can see this system does aswell but doesn’t notify on motion sensing occurrences and notifications are 50 min to an hour in the past, I left for work this morning and I was already at work before I got a text saying there was somthing going on. So it looks like Swann is going back up due to the speed at which this is happening. Spent 700$ on this system yesterday and it might go back today because that’s the difference between getting my belongings back or them being gone for good. I also use this system to notify me of visitors as well as trespassers and theft but Lorex isn’t going to cut it. Speed up your notifications the dollar store can do better at 700x less cost

  • Alarm is too late.

    Hello,
    I like the camera, as it captures images in time, but it informs me very late, the alarm comes late, almost after the person of interest went away, so I can only have a glimpse. It is also difficult to see the images on the camera right away because there is a delay between the capture of images and the possibility to see them. please provide an update or help to fix the problem.

  • Undependable ‘security’ system

    Not sure how many fake reviews are on here, but The Lorex system and app have consistent loading errors, crashes and slow loading speeds. Let’s say you hear a noise in the middle of the night and want to open the live feed or recording to check what it was, that’s when this system will let you down by either not loading the live view or crashing. The “smart detection” which is suppose to only send out notifications if it detects a person sends out dozens of false positives alerts. Which just floods the owner with false notifications. If you live in a high traffic area, just know the system only let you see 100 or so thumbnails per day of a prerecorded event, so all the other notifications will have to be watch one by one since no thumbnail preview will show. In addition their UI in the system is not used friendly, and is missing lots of promise features such as sound recording and IR control. Even though I bought the system with microphones. Buying this system has been the worst mistake. Can’t wait to replace it, I strongly suggest anyone to avoid.

  • Flir fx

    I cant connect to my flir fx camera. It does not support the flir fx camera
  • Better but NOT GREAT!!!!

    Lorex have a habit of updating their App’s without notifying customers.

    This new app is good but the downfall is with the LIVE VIEW. It takes too long to load each camera where as with previous app LIVE VIEW loaded instantaneously. This is a very important feature that needs updating ASAP as it’s important to have immediate access to live view instead of having to wait for it to load.
