  • Loan payment notification

    I love the easy ability to pay my mortgage each month. However, once I make a payment there is nothing that indicates it on my Home Screen. In fact, it continues to inform me that I have a payment due on the due date. That has concerned me before that my payment didn’t go through, when in fact it did. Other times the payment did not go through and I had no idea until I got a notification a couple of weeks later that it was past due.

  • Needs work

    Recently I joined Axos after Simple Bank switched to BBVA. I love the service Axos provides and their customer service. The app on the other hand…. Needs help on my device. The app will log me out for inactivity and that causes the app to act weird when I log back in, I need to force close the app (swipe up) everytime I’m done with it. The app is also pretty slow on my device which is weird. I have notifications turned on but I rarely receive any notifications from the app, I do get the email notification for any transaction or change though. Deposits or charges to the account take more than a few minutes to pop up in the app (even though the changes in the account have posted) which can be annoying sometimes.

    It would be nice if you were able to get a widget that showed an updated balance on your accounts that way you can get a quick glance and not have to log in and deal with crashes and glitches.

  • Awful, just awful. Stay away unless you love being let down.

    I was really excited to switch to axos bank, especially after seeing the high interest checking account. First off, it took about 3 weeks to even get my account opened. Called multiple times, the only response was that it was in review. After getting my account opened and directly depositing my payday, they locked my account and froze access to my money. Called customer service more times than I can count and only got generic answers, one lady even got hateful with me. Asked to speak to manager or someone else, was told there was no one else. It’s been over 2 months and I still can’t get my money out. Please, find another bank, even if the interest rate is a little lower.

  • Interest rates are great. But app and deposits are not

    Are you all ever going to shorten the time a check mobile deposit takes to clear? As an FYI. Although we have enjoyed your interest rates. We are currently looking for other banking solutions. Simple check deposits should not take 5+ business days. I use 3 other banks for businesses, personal accounts, and 2 credit unions. And all of them accept thousands of dollars in mobile deposits a day. They take…on average about 24 hours to fully deposit and be available for withdrawal. Your process on the other hand takes a LONG time for such a simple function. It took one day just to get the mobile deposit approved to be deposited then another 5 day wait?! When I was new it was 7 days! For an internet bank?! That’s insane! Anyway, just wanted to leave that feedback so that you knew why I was leaving and maybe it might make a difference to some executive somewhere that might change the policy. Thank you.

  • Used to be good…

    Back when it was WiseBanyan and even the first iteration of the Axos invest app, the apps worked great. They were easy to navigate and both provided useful metrics and allowed you to manage your accounts. Now that it has all been lumped under the one Axos Bank app, none of the above are true anymore. The Axos Bank app is frankly a barely functional dumpster fire of an app. It’s impossible to navigate and find any functions. You make changes in the app and then the change disappears. It provides zero useful metrics and no helpful information on your accounts at all. The last thing any finance company worth it’s salt should do is put out an app that makes customers lose confidence in the company - and not only is that what Axos Bank has done here, it’s left the app in this pathetic state for more than a year.

  • App didn’t work, error and crashes with everything

    Wow I’m glad I read all the reviews. I’m having the same issues. This app is trash, it doesn’t work. I asked Axos to close my account. The app wouldn’t let me add chase bank, it said server error. Soo I manually added it...I took 3 days before I could verify it with the small deposits. Then it said error bug. I messaged them it said server error. Everything is a server error. I’m nervous to bank with them. Their bad unreliable online banking is not worth the apy. I don’t trust them with my money. This is just horrible. And a guy and girl on here said they had money in their savings and they tried to get it out and it gave them errors and they couldn’t. One girl waited 8 weeks to get her money out of her savings. Another guy experienced paycheck being held for 2 weeks. Naw I’m good I’ll stick with chase - reliable/trusted.

  • Just stay with your current bank.

    This has been a terrible banking experience. I needed to stop a transaction between this “bank” and my other bank. They told me to contact my other bank. Sure. Not a problem. I call the next day informing them my other bank has already sent the money. Axos told me they could have canceled it for me the night before! Completely different response than I received the night before. You know, when they told me they couldn’t cancel it.

    Now I’m told my Axos it’s too late to cancel it in their end. I’ll have to wait until it’s processed. That’d be fine if their processing time was reasonable. It’s 2021. I’ve had money transferred across oceans in a matter of minutes.

    All around terrible experience. Wonder if the FDIC has had any complaints about this bank. Wouldn’t be surprised

  • Overall pretty good

    Our experience with Axos has been solid. Not as good as Simple by a long shot, but pretty decent. The app has some little bugs - I can often navigate to the “Accounts” tab before the data has loaded in, making my accounts display $0, which is alarming - but these are not serious issues.

    The biggest irritations I have with Axos are that it takes an insanely long time for checks to clear (a full week for my tax return check), and that their business app is horrendously awful, which I detailed in a review for that account.

    However, if you want a fee-free checking account, high interest savings, and don’t need to use checks or cash much at all, Axos is a solid option!

  • Loved Axos invest, not Axos bank

    Botched migration to the new app. Decent forewarning but would have thought they would have had enough time to update their app which seems like it’s from 10 years ago. Slowly been updating it, but would really want to see the ability to see returns in shorter amounts of time then “all time”. That being said, decent returns for a very low fee and I love the goals feature where you can separate investments (although even thats suffered with the migration).

    Update - it’s been three months and they still need to do major updates to improve UI. Don’t know why as all of these reviews are telling them to do just that.

  • Simple Bankers don’t use Axos

    I used to bank with Simple and since they are transitioning May 8 to BBVA I searched for a new bank more like Simple. I thought Axos was going to be it. Nope. Nothing like Simple. I’m trying to move my money to my new bank and my money is being held hostage. I have $11k in savings and daily allowance to move money is $5k and monthly allowance to move money is $7500. Annoying AF. So I set up one transaction today, 3/29 for $5k leave $6k behind. Then went to set the rest to transfer on 4/1 & 4/2 and it’s already denying me saying I met the monthly limit which isn’t even possible. I’m hoping come 4/1 it doesn’t give me that error. But worst mistake transferring to this bank. Oh! My paycheck took almost 2 weeks to clear. It was literally TWO days before my next pay check hit when my check cleared. I had to charge groceries on credit cards and was late on payments due to this. Customer service wasn’t exactly kind either when I inquired about my paycheck clearing.
