  • Axos will screw you over

    Picture this, they tell you to submit something as soon as possible to verify your address or your account will be restricted. Then when you submit something they tell you 2 weeks later that it wasn’t good enough and you need to submit something else ASAP, so you do, but since you sent it on a weekend your account is restricted anyway. By the way it’s at the beginning of the month and you have bills to pay, but you can’t because you have no access to any of your money so you can’t even feed yourself. Halfway through the week you still haven’t heard back from them and your account is still restricted. F you very much axos, you idiots. P.s. you’ve already called them and talked to people about your issue and they are of no help whatsoever.

  • For an established online bank, you’d think they’d have a better app.

    Just created a new checking account as my current bank, Simple, is unfortunately closing down due to a merger. Axos has some of the best interest rates and is an established online bank, but the app and websites are trash. After being unable to add external accounts to the app (app force closes or freezes when I try), I tried to do this via their website and I had issues there as well. I should have seen the red flags when I was having such major issues opening an account to begin with because their online site was littered with bugs and a less than optimal UX. It took me two hours to just open an account, switching back and forth from their mobile site to their desktop site and back again since many of their verification steps would randomly glitch out or the “NEXT” buttons would become inactive. I’m going to give this one more try, but if I keep running into issues left and right, I’m just going to close the account and look elsewhere.

  • Axos Is Awesome, Awesome Customer support

    I NEVER write reviews... but for the one time, I’m gonna take time outta my day to recognize how great Axos is. Specifically their customer support. I’ve had all major bank accounts, and I can say with confidence that Axos is the best I’ve experienced out of all of them. Short wait, clear concise workers, available at ANY time of day. Forreal I called for a wire transfer dispute at like 2 AM at night and they picked up, I was flabbergasted. All they need to do is to be able to make it work with 3rd party money accounts like zelle paypal etc. and they’ll be a good candidate in being my main checking account

  • Yikes

    So where do we start?

    I opened these accounts to replace the majority of my credit union when I moved this August.

    After the application the Instant Account Verification for funding the account never finished the confirmation. I then downloaded the app and had no accounts listed with constant errors. Multiple at once.

    It was late so I let it go and decided to check back tomorrow, that was yesterday, I logged into the website and found my accounts! I was exited, especially due to the online aspect with the pandemic going on. Unfortunately that would not last long, I soon found out that the website runs incredibly slow (I proved it was the website by opening both my bank accounts and credit accounts- also by checking back today) once again I could not link accounts and found out the loan ad tiles are there to stay. The concept is nice but the execution is bad.

    The point was made, this wasn’t the bank for me - however I felt off about closing it - so I let it sit, which leads us to today. I definitely wasted my time giving this bank so many tries, I just can’t get anything to work or load fast which is necessary because it’s only online. I even tried again today to no avail.

    Ultimately I think I’m going to sit this one out and let it close out automatically in the 58 days that remain to fund the accounts and I’ll be unfortunately going in branch tomorrow to a local (statewide) bank.

    I tried, I really did.

  • DONT GET RIPPED OFF!

    I opened an account less than a month ago...went through the hoops to link my previous bank account and then made a transfer (2 actually). Axos sat on the cash for 5 days before crediting my account. Today I received an email that says they’re closing my account in 3 days without explanation. They unlinked my previous bank account so there’s no way to transfer my balance and their ATM limits are too low to withdraw the money before they then send a check AND SIT ON MY MONEY FOR 10 MORE DAYS! Axos really should be ashamed of themselves and their practices should be illegal. There is a pandemic going on, people have to be able to access money and they are playing shell games. SHAME ON AXOS!!!! DONT GET RIPPED OFF! Their app is buggy and gives ridiculous error messages too. Stay away.
