    Why do need this app just to turn off a $23 lamp? Have we lost the technology for buttons?
  • Great, but plan feature does not work

    I like the app and all its features, but they do not necessarily work like they should. The plan feature for example does not work. Every time I try to set a plan, it just disappears. I have never seen the plan run automatically because it disappears before every time the automation is meant to run.

  • No yellow or white light in my fairy lights

    I know my fairy lights can do yellow (I see it for a fraction of a second when it’s on gradient fade pattern) but the app has in calibrated wrong or the lights are calibrated wrong. Yellow is green, and white is cyan. Really disappointed because they are very pretty otherwise. I tried almost every set of lights in the store and they were all like this, (both the matte extra colours version, and the glassy 7 lights+combo version do this). If the lights are calibrated wrong on their default setting, please please please just let me customise the RGB values instead of using the colour picker. (The glassy lights have even less customisation then the matte lights and it really doesn’t need to be so). Please let me calibrate both the matte and glassy sets through the app. I feel like these should be recalled but I know they can work!

  • Please fix the “detected movement” notifications

    this app would be incredible if not for the constant, bogus “detected movement” notifications that are every 7 minutes or so. every time i check there’s nothing there so it is clearly either a glitch or way too sensitive (it might be sending the movement of the trees in the distance? not sure). it’s the second time these have started happening out of nowhere (first time i just took the camera down and didn’t use it for weeks and then set it up again). if this can please be rectified as getting these notifications round-the-clock is overwhelming. it makes me not bother checking them or the app at all which defeats the purpose for me entirely

  • Almost useless

    I’ve 5 connected devices, 4 lights and a smart IR, all located mere meters away from my modem. The one star is for the smart IR as it works 100% of the time and has been a godsend as I’ve managed to lose all of my remote controls…. But otherwise this app/product is a complete fail. A few years ago all the lights functioned ok as in they worked maybe 2/3 of the time, but for a good year now NONE of them remain connected for more than a day before mysteriously going offline, something that requires a ridiculously complicated and time consuming amount of wizardry to rectify, tho it often won’t work and if it does it won’t last. Seriously Genio, how hard should it be to turn on a light? A smart home app? Hell no, buying light bulbs three time the price of regular ones that almost never work so when you’re all cozy in bed and about to drift off to sleep you have to get up to turn off the f$@%ing light, that’s a stupid home. I’ve gone back the old school method, ie my finger

  • V1.2.6 needs updating

    Usually a half decent app, but since updating my iOS, my devices one by one have reset themselves and will not re-sync to my account. The devices enter pairing mode when turned on manually, do not register as being on in the app, and every time I try to add the device back it says ‘failed to add’ or ‘can’t find wifi’ and just start flashing again. I’ve deleted the devices and tried re-adding them but that does not work either. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. The devices sync just fine to my partners phone who is still on the old iOS. This is incredibly infuriating, not being able to use any of my lamps or downlights because they just flash (VERY brightly and fast, whose idea was that!?)

  • Disappointing

    Just to about half way downloading the blub then says it can’t connect to it
  • Wifi won’t connect

    I’m in student accomdation and have wifi but my school requires are user name and password and thus the wifi won’t connect to the device cause it ask for password
  • Device pairing is hit and miss

    Very hit and miss device pairing to the point can take 2 hours trying to connect the baby genio. Great once connected but please fox this repairing issue
