No option to unsubscribe from all the useless emails they sent you… I eventually had to block them
Terrible subscription, decent idea
In theory this business model is great, we even tried it and rented a yard and it went super well. Well unfortunately it wasn’t disclosed to me that they absolutely REQUIRE at least a $20/month subscription to even rent any yard at all. We used the free trial but I was under the impression that the subscription was to rent premium yard and get discounts on other yards especially if you use the app often. I was not under the impression that you HAD to have a subscription to even rent anything (the yard we rented is only $10/hour!! Yet they want me to pay $20/month on top of that!) I think this app has died and they’re trying to gut everyone for as much money as possible. Won’t be using unless there’s an option to rent without subscription. Should be illegal.

Thank you for the feedback! We do require a subscription, but you can cancel at any time and are not required to continue on beyond the free trial. We recently made this change to improve our community and grow it. We are monitoring feedback from users such as yourself and if the overall impact is negative then we will revert the change. Greatest service to ever stumble across
This just checks so many boxes for me! Safe, reliable, fun, easy, and great for dogs!
You have to have a pay membership
Nowhere and i mean nowhere does it state that you have to have a paid membership to book any spot. If that’s the case don’t try to hide it, be upfront so people understand what they’re getting into. The low review is simply because they have hidden this everywhere.
USD/CAD Conversion
This app charges in USD, but nowhere is this mentioned, despite being available in Canada. The app should either charge in CAD or make it very clear that prices are in USD to avoid confusion and extra costs.
Greed is ruining everything
This app has been a lifesaver, but it used to cost $5-$7 per hour for one dog, now it’s hard to find a yard for $10, and I routinely see $20+ and even saw a place for $40 for a yard mostly taken up by a swimming pool. One place also charges you an extra $5 to SIT IN A HAMMOCK. Oh I’m sorry, are you afraid I’ll get my poverty all over your hammock?? It is a nearly entirely passive activity and I’m just so tired of greed ruining our country.
Its becoming more difficult to justify using this service or recommending it to friends. Sniffspot should set reasonable price limits based on location and size of the property. It’s not like it’s a bunch of rich people who need to borrow a yard.

We want our guests to always be able to find affordable spots around them. Some hosts may charge higher prices, but we will continue to work on adding more spots so that you will be able to find more affordable options near you!
Works Great
The app does everything it’s supposed to. I’ve never experienced any issues with it.
Good at first but then drops off
I started my Sniffspot March 30, 2024. For April business was good. May dropped off by half. And then June/July has been hardly anything. I did get the badge of being a top spot because I had 40 reviews totaling five stars.
When I inquired about why no one has booked with me for the past few weeks, I was told that they don't sort sniffspots by distance not by relevance.
I did a search and I was the 72nd listing for my current location while I was in my own home! Sniffspot app push only two spots for my location so all the business is going to those two spots. People won't scroll past the first 10 listings. And if the following listings are showing places that are 10-40 miles away they will think there are only those two spots. There were homes that were up to 40 miles away from where I am that were being promoted and listed before me. I was honestly shocked. People who previously booked with me probably thought I didn't have a sniffspot anymore.
So while I really loved using the app and enjoying people in my backyard with their dogs, if Sniffspot doesn't want to promote you then you get pushed to the side and you will get NO business. Maybe this is their way of forcing you to market your own spot but either way, it's bad marketing and not helpful for users to have a choice.

Canine Canyon Park ROCKS!
Amazing space with lots to do! Our senior dog and our two year old ball of fire love being there. The younger one is all over the place and we are teaching her how to fetch. The older one enjoys just walking slowly around and sniffing everything. They like to play with the treats game and walk across the trampoline. A pool has been in the works and we can’t wait to use it! I love that it’s just us too so no other distractions.
It’s literally a puppy playground. I highly recommend using it! Oh! There’s also nice space for us pet parents to relax and enjoy the space with the pooches. Two thumbs up!

Excellent!
We took our 2 dogs here for the first time this past week and it was all around wonderful. We had a great time, the dogs had a great time. Catriona was awesome and has a true heart for dogs. She was knowlegeable, kind, friendly and welcoming to us and our dogs. We arrived strangers and left as friends.
Her fenced yard was great. The fence is tall and sturdy all the way around, perfect.
The yard is neat, clean and pretty with plenty of room to run and play. There were toys and treats on hand and a kiddy pool!
The time went very fast and we loved every minute there and look forward to going back!
