Very Easy with a few bugs

Overall a really easy airline to book and fly. A few glitches on the website made things difficult to purchase, couldnโ€™t update a credit card, eventually got this sorted over the phone. The attempt to offer me a rental car at the time of purchase sounded good, until it offered the most ridiculous price and despite several attempts couldnโ€™t get it offer me a car at anything less than $600 a week more than everyone else so declined that and rented a car separately. But as for flying quick and easy.
If you need carry-on OR checked bag BUY this at ticket purchase time itโ€™s much cheaper, but then do look at the full ticket price as it can be more than others if you need to add both a roll-on bag and a checked bag.

Checking in

Process for checking in too cumbersome. Had to download app. Could not find my booking using my name. Had to go to booking email to copy and paste booking reference. Then too many steps trying to offer upgrades before check in

Wonโ€™t let me use my credit

I had a credit for a cancelled flight. It was unclear on Spirits booking page how to apply my credit and I inadvertently completed the booking without applying my credit. So now Iโ€™m out $600 because after contacting Spirit they wonโ€™t allow me to apply my credit to the rebooked flight. I wonโ€™t be flying with this airline again.

I hate Spirit Airlines

I hate Spirit Airlines and I always have. Whoever is running the company deserves to fall down several flights of concrete stairs and seriously enjoy themselves. I hate the stupid airline I hate their stupid app. Nothing has gone wrong on my flight yet but I'm sure something will, in advance, I hate them so much. I just feel like they're going to charge me for some nonsense

Poor app

When transferring your date of birth to a flight from your details attached to your free spirit number it gets it wrong by a day.

Very poor design in the fact thereโ€™s no ability for one passenger in a group to have hold/check in luggage and the other carry on. All must be the same.
