Reviews of Q Ticketing

  • Metro on line tickets apps

I found out about this app a month ago. I've used it for those moments when boarding a bus and finding out that my Q-Card was missing and I really needed to get to my destination.

Therefore, applying for a paperless ticket was in order. It was quick and convenient for me to get a ticket to continue my journey. Kudos Metro for being a leader in allowing your users the opportunity and flexibility of using your app. Again ahead of your time.

  • Ok but could be better

After having been on other trains I wonder why isn’t this app have a digital card I can scan in the train? I would say that level of accessibility will get you more ridership in the long run.

    Developer Response

Hello, Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We appreciate your suggestions. Improving accessibility and convenience for our riders is our priority, and your feedback helps us move in the right direction. Thanks for choosing METRO.
  • Missing card

Why is it so complicated to retrieve a Missing Card? I work 8 to 9 hours a day. Whenwill I have the time to drive into downtown to get another one? Holistic or convenient. The app doesn’t even work the way it’s supposed to. Not have an actual digital card on your phone that you can scan to avoid losing it.

    Developer Response

Hello, if you've lost your registered Q Fare Card, you should first call Customer Service at 713-635-4000 to have the card turned off, the balance can then be transferred to a new card. You can stop by any of the METRO RideStores to replace your registered Q Fare Card, it does not have to be Downtown. If you are looking to simply purchase a new fare card, please visit our website for a complete list of fare card retailers. You can find that list here: www.ridemetro.org/fares/all-about-fares#retail-locations The METRO Q Mobile Ticketing app does not function the same way that a Q Fare Card does. It's a method to store funds, purchase mobile tickets and use them. As long as your tickets are stored in the cloud and not on the device, you can recover them by logging into your account on the app. Thank you for choosing METRO.
