You need a new app developer

This app is SO frustrating to use.
It has mobile coupons. LOVE THAT. Problem is, often you can’t read how much the coupon is. Sometimes it will say $1.00 off, other times It only shows the product and merely says “when you buy ONE Emergen-C”. It doesn’t show how much the coupon takes off. Is it 25¢? Is it $5???
If you answer a call or text (anythingthat takes you out of the app, it forces you to refresh and restart you’re session. Want to screenshot and share a coupon you see? Even though you don’t leave the page, forces you to refresh.
I don’t understand how their team can put this app out there and be happy with it. Or do they just think, “Well, it’s better than nothing!” That’s a HORRIBLE outlook. I looked at when the last update was and it was a month ago. What was it like before that?!?
I prefer shopping at Smart and Final. Your meat cuts are great. Produce is normally great (I know you’re having distribution issues right now), baked goods are great but this app HAS to be improved!!!

Something wrong with this app

I downloaded this app and clipped coupons to use in my local store, but none of the coupons have a barcode.

The coupons do say to present them at checkout with the barcode though. I showed the coupon to the cashier and she said she couldn’t redeem them unless they had a barcode so, what are we supposed to do about that?

The only thing that had a barcode was the 15% discount you get for signing up. I ended up using that even though I didn’t want to because I was saving it for when I did my weekly shopping. I only had the items that were on sale in my basket and my Smart&Final store wouldn’t accept them without a barcode so, something needs to be done about these coupons.

Please if they can only be redeemed if they have a barcode…….then put on the barcode. This app is really useless

iPhone iOS version

This application has multiple bugs and needs a complete rebuild. Tried to use multiple times in the store, hangs up and I had to ask the manager for a manual overide. Suggest the programming team review the Vons and Stater Bros apps they work without any issues. I would shop Smart & Final more often if their app wasn’t so buggy and unreliable..

Disappointed

The app usually fails to find discounts on site. The navigation is not intuitive and usually requires assistant from the frustrated staff members. I always wonder why a retailer, who already knows our address, phone number and email, thinks it is a good idea to force its customers to use a burdensome app like this. Read the room! No one wants these grocery store apps. You already have us as your customers and it is insulting that you want more information from us.

Used to work better, now it stinks!

Used to be able to add digital coupons on app and pull up digital advantage card when checking out at register to access coupons. Now the card will not load on app, stating I have not added a loyalty card. Extra step when trying to add digital coupons and you’re redirected to a website to sign into first. Sort of defeats the purpose of an app, I think. I ended up having to screenshot my advantage card, hopefully it will work and give me my coupons at check-out!

They turned the app sideways!

I use an iPad with a keyboard, like a laptop, as many others do. Now I can’t use this app unless I remove my keyboard and hold my iPad vertical like a book. Why do you people think that we only use our iPads in portrait mode when all keyboards and stands are designed for landscape use? Please allow us to rotate the screen any way we want it!

You sent me an email asking me to update my review. I’ll update my review when you make this app work correctly on an iPad!

Worst implementation of a store app I’ve seen

First thing: make sure you unsubscribe to all the cookie data collection they automatically have enabled and delete all your information when you inevitably decide to uninstall this App

It will constantly open up extra windows for coupons and info, change between screens, and seems intentionally difficult to navigate. Not only that, it will keep popping up windows to constantly ask for your location to try to assign a store to you while giving wildly inaccurate locations and seemingly log you off at random. My effort to get and use a coupon added almost a half an hour to my shopping trip.

Can’t click the coupons

I signed up. I added my phone number to create the account. The app used to work fine now I cannot clip coupons. Every time I try I get notification saying “ failed to open coupon gallery” or “ no loyalty card number”. I used to have no problem but about a month ago I started getting these notifications.

Password never works

I dont understand why the app can’t keep me logged in the way all other grocery store apps do. Every time I open, I have to login and change the password because it doesn’t accept the password which I updated the last time. I’ve updated the password every time I have to login and use the app. I’m deleting the app now because it’s not worth the frustration just to use digital coupons.

Nice try, but, sorry; this app doesn’t work well.

Why do I have to go through the hassle of changing my store every time? I have tried to enable location, but it doesn’t work. I’m sure that’s a setting in my phone I need to change, but you need to take me to it because I’m not sure where it is. I have tried looking fully it but I can’t find it or I can’t make it work. Maybe you need to put an “override cookie manager” toggle switch, because I’m guessing that’s the issue.

Then at the self-checkout register, it didn’t prompt me to enter my phone number or card barcode, so after I spent time opening the app, changing my store, and digitally coding the coupon, I didn’t save the money negate I forgot to scan my barcode.

I’m sorry to criticize you because much of this app is great. But these things and the totally non-intuitive fact that ***you have to DISABLE WiFi to get the app set up the first time while you’re in the store*** ruin this app.

I really hate how difficult it is to use this app. Sorry guys… way too much friction here
