Shameful

There’s no way to see how much you or your employer have allocated year-to-date to track your contributions.
There are no links to monthly or quarterly statements.
You can’t manually track contributions either, as the history only goes back 90 days.
It seems like these issues aren’t even being addressed, as there haven’t been any improvements to the app in a long time.
It’s frustrating to be stuck with this inadequate app just because my employer chose it.

The worst!

I can track my contributions and matches via my paystub. This shouldn’t be your main focal point of this app. I’m coming from Fidelity Employer 401k which is light years ahead of this…

I should be able to see a visual of daily performance tracking. What is this?? 1990s?? I shouldn’t have to read out quarterly reports to see my gains/losses!

Really!?

There should be consumer protection laws and regulations against poor products like this one. At a very minimum, a retirement app should allow its users to track their annual 401k contributions against LEGAL limits set by the IRS. This app does NOT allow you to do this! You will basically be able to know how much is in your account, but don’t expect anything else useful.

For instance, if you want to know how much you have contributed to your 401k versus how much your employer contributed (for those with a match), good luck, this is not provided. Oh, you also want to know how much of the balance in your account was achieved through contributions versus returns from your investments? You’re out of luck….

I realize people reading this will most likely not have had a say in the choice of this app as it will, in many cases, be imposed to them by their employer/retirement plan. This is probably why such a poor product can still be on the market place.

Not too bad

Good app with a nice look, but as others have mentioned it doesn’t go into much detail. If there could be one additional functionality, I’d love to be able to see how much my investments have grown, like a how much I invested vs what it’s worth now. Instead it only shows what it’s worth now, and you can’t get an idea of how much it’s grown unless you add up all your contributions and subtract it from the number in the app. Seems like every other investment platform has this capability.

Overly simplified app

The app is so overly simplified it’s like trying to use a child’s cash register. There is minimal information or ability to make any changes. However in the 9 months that I have had an account to app is the only way I can access any information because the website always has technical difficulties and can’t log in at this time.

Works. Could be more intuitive.

The app is better than the Ascensus website. I like being able to see a list of recent transactions on the dashboard. You can update how much you contribute to your 401k each paycheck by clicking on it. You can manage your current and future investment deposits.

Barebones, nothing more

You can see balances, your contribution rate and some very limited transactions. You can adjust your contribution amount and change some of your holdings, but that’s it.

If you have more than a basic level understanding of investing, the app will be frustrating. You’ll have to do anything more than the stuff above on the website, which is also very basic.

For Vanguard

I’m not sure if Ready Save is a product by Vanguard or if it is a retirement services app that multiple players such as Vanguard can use, but either way, I am disappointed in both it and Vanguard's online experience. Understanding my yearly contribution limit and how I am tracking towards it seems like the absolute basics of a retirement service. My goal as a user is to know how much I’m allowed to contribute and then to do exactly that — no more so that I’m not getting myself into a tax paperwork mess, and no less so that I’m fully optimizing the tax advantages. So why is this SO HARD????? The app actually does have a help area that lists the limit which is nice, but you’d think it could be smart enough to tell me that I’m X% of the way there, scheduled to hit the limit at Y date, etc. Because this doesn’t exist, I’m left doing my own math to adjust my contribution percentages so that I don’t exceed this limit. It’s 2023 — you’d think a company that specializes in retirement would be able to do something so simple. My company switched to Vanguard from Guideline and Guideline had an absolutely spectacular UI for this — I miss it greatly whenever I have the terrible experience of having to use Vanguard.

Can’t even log in after setting up account

Constantly getting error messages after setting up my account on both desktop and mobile. This acts exactly like a scam or phishing site since it asks me for my personal info and doesn’t let me log in or even work….

Unusable App!

Our company was really excited to start using this app but we have been switched over to Ascensus for 4 months now and still every member of our company is receiving error messages when we try to log in through the app (web version login works fine). We have been in coordination with our Ascensus account manager and she can’t figure out why the app doesn’t work for anyone in our company. We really wish this app would work!
