Poor privacy protection. Impossible to create and account!

The account creation screen will always go blank as soon as I tap in the password field. iPhone SE (1st Gen/2016) with ios 15 ( ios 16 is not available on this phone.) Had to create an account on their website instead.

Buying a ticket with this app is time consuming ( a few mins) and stressful! On top of this the last thing I want to use is a phone to buy a ticket when I am in a hurry. For comparison: it takes me 25 seconds to buy a WeekendReturn ticket from a machine in Brussels-Centraal using a stressfree process. I timed it.

Poor privacy protection - We have to set up an account when there is no real requirement except for an SNCB privacy and data grab. SNCB put up the price of the paper tickets so that we all have to install the app. This penalises those who do not have a smartphone, and those who phone battery runs out during the journey, and those who have eyesight problems looking at screens such as the disabled and the old. These people already have a smaller income, and yet they are penalised. Tickets: We cannot print the tickets! Which means we could buy a ticket, our phone battery runs out, or the phone breaks, and we have to buy a nee ticket. It's a win for SNCB but a great loss for the customer.

Times not consistent with reality

Just missed a train which was mentioned 18 mins delayed while it left on time.

App works for seeing schedules but doesn’t work to buy tickets

Account activation email to make account to buy ticket never goes through. Just take this option off until it actually works. WhatsApp technical support was not helpful either.

Ridiculous

The website tells you to buy your multi ticket at a discount via the app, but the app doesn’t let you buy the ticket. Waste of time.

Must-have tool for seeing Belgium

This app was great for touring around the country. The only downside is that it directs you to the sncb web site to log in instead of doing it through the app. But once that’s done, you’re all set.

Purchased the 10-ride multi pass which was super easy to use and probably saved us 100 euros.

Great application.

It is by far one of the easiest mobilisation apps I have ever used.
I travel a lot and have used different apps internationally.
This Belgian one seems to work super smooth and offers a great user experience.
It’s easy to use, fast and correct.
When you have bought a multi pass, and afterwards you try and buy another train ticket. It will remind you that you can use the multi pass.

Terrible Upgrade

This app was upgraded in 2022 and that was a horrible upgrade. It is now frequently unavailable, data analytics are questionable, you can't buy a ticket through it and the UI is awkward at best. Sometimes change is not good--in this case it was terrible.

Unreliable

The app is providing false train departure information! Such a shame.

Can’t see which stations a train stops at

So you the app allows you to list the platforms and destinations of a given train, but no option to see which stations it stops at. For example does the train going to Leuven, from Antwerp, stop at Brussels? Unless you are a local you wouldn’t know.

Bug & crash

Impossible to mix SNCB trips with MIVB ones without freeze or crash of the app.
