  • Unhappy!

This is the most confusing app I have ever used. I am not a stupid person but there is nothing in this app that I can figure out how to use! Some help would be greatly appreciated! Jane Fowler
  • Garbage app

Please fix this app. It doesn’t recognize that my system is on and I keep having to use the older ion app to control my system.
  • Glitchy

Usually have to open the app/shut down/open app again to get it working properly. And it often just doesn’t actually work when trying to change temps or even turning the unit on.
  • Not as good as the old app

The app doesn’t keep me logged in.
I cannot change heat source and it does not show system faults in app as it did in the old app.
    Hopefully system upgrades are coming
  • Why?

The old app was very functional and emulated the screen on the wall controller making it easy to operator and see everything on one screen. The new app has you jumping around for no reason. It’s set up is dorky, backwards and useless. I’m keeping the old one.
  • Not that user friendly

I had the ecobee prior to this and it was much more user friendly than this app
  • Consistently inconsistent

App rarely executes the commands, often doesn’t match the thermostat. Every time I change something it holds indefinitely or doesn’t register my change. Very poor app for a high priced thermostat. Sad
  • Worst apps

Do Not Buy This Unit otherwise you will be spending more money on the electric bills because if you’re outside at work thinking you changed the temperature but on the other end it will no response
Apps never works with thermostats to control
    They should name it HellMaker
  • Doesn’t work well.

Buggy and not reliable. Often the app and the thermostat show two totally different setting. I have complained to their support and no fix yet.
  • Ion home app vs my ion app

My ion presented a user interface that looked, felt, and acted exactly like the wall thermostat. It was the absolute perfect user interface that was intuitive with NO learning curve; once you knew where an item or function is located either in the app or on the thermostat you knew them both. I loved it.

Ion home is a mistake. NOTHING is intuitive about it. Every time I try to find something like energy usage or daily/weekly settings or weather or just to bump the temperature up or down a degree I have to click on the dots and dashes and dig down through each menu structure until I find what I’m looking for and if I can’t find it I just have to go to the thermostat to do what used to be able to do from my phone or ipad. FRUSTRATING!!! How about taking some user input before bungling up something that worked perfectly for the users.
