I was just lying down meditating with my hand on my heart and began counting breaths using my heart as a metronome. I really liked this and wondered if there were any heartbeat meditation techniques out there to try, which led me to HRM. Everything about this technique resonates with me. Though I’m just becoming acquainted with it, I find the information provided on the app thorough, well-made, and so useful. And the heart monitoring feature is so cool! I really love the idea of meditation that isn’t seeking to transcend the body, but instead to be more embodied. I’d highly recommend this app and this approach to meditation.
