  • Not what you would expect

    You would think a respected company like Alen would have a top notch app. Not sure if they have a good developer or engineer putting this together but there is a reason it is rated only a 3 out of 5. In particular it does not reflect accurately the air quality shown on the Purifiers control panel. Shows 1 and switches between blue and green when purifier is orange.

    What you're experiencing is a delay in the firmware of the air purifier that's there to prevent the color ring and fan speed from jumping around wildly when the machine in in Auto mode. The reading you're seeing in the app is true, real time data as being measured by the purifier itself.
  • App just crashed with latest update

    Update to my original post: I was able to resolve this issue by deleting the app and reinstalling.

    Original post: The app was really good until recently and now it crashes after opening. Useless at the moment. Hopefully it will be addressed soon.

  • Can’t Connect

    I’ve quite literally been trying to pair my 75i to my phone for years. Tried again today after not trying for another year bc it made me so mad last time, and still I can’t connect. I’ve tried everything and I give up at this point.

    We're sorry you've had a hard time getting the 75i to pair to the app. Please contact support@alen.com and our Customer Experience team can do some troubleshooting with you and replace the air purifier under warranty if necessary.
  • Great help to understand my indoor air quality

    This app and 75i has improved my life in so many ways. I never understood the importance of air quality. I have a spouse who has Asthma and it has helped him. I am so glad he bought this.

    Customer service explained all my spouses questions. What a great product this has been.

  • Poor Interface App

    The app simply will not connect the device to my wifi. I have a strong internet signal and an added booster. All other wifi connected devices are working well. My new Alen BreatheSmart 75i True HEPA Air Purifier just won't connect. I've tried multiple times. It's a pricey item being advertised as wifi compatible that won't actually connect to wifi via its own app. Very disappointing.

  • Controls work but info sometimes wrong

    Never had issues using the app as a controller but it sometimes incorrectly reflects the state of my air purifiers. For example, I have seen my air purifier at speed 3 on the orange band yet the app states it is on the blue band and that the indoor air quality is at 1.

    That has to do with a delay built into the firmware of the machine. Once the color rings ramp up there is a delay built in so that the fan speeds aren't fluctuating wildly as the air quality changes. The color ring on the air purifier will eventually ramp down to match what is being shown in the app. The data you're seeing in the app for indoor air quality is reported to the cloud by air purifier once a second and is real time accurate data.
  • V.2.0.1 crashes at launch on iOS 16.4.1(a)

    I’m running an iPhone 12 Max on iOS 16.4.1(a) and, since updating this app to V.2.0.1, it now crashes at launch. Loads the initial Alen Air splash screen, then crashes back to the phone Home Screen. It’s basically useless at this point.
  • DID (past tense) work great

    The latest version has made this app totally unusable. It will not even open. Medical conditions in our house make this more than simply an inconvenience. Not a good situation - please provide a remedy.
  • App goes to home page then shuts. Never opens

    Since last upgrade 2.0.1 I can no longer get into my app. It opens to the Alen page and then closes. I have tried everything short of uninstalling and reinstalling the app. If I must reinstall the app I can not connect my 45i anymore because that pairing process will not work with my split 2.4/5 g Wi-Fi. So, I will lose connection to my purifier. Since Alen does not provide connection with this type of Wi-Fi the app will no longer serve a purpose. Really unfortunate. So, it would be nice if I could get the app to open without having to reinstall.

Additionally, if you uninstall and reinstall the app you will not have to go through the pairing process again since your data is stored in the cloud.
  • Recent app update caused app to not open

    App will open to title and then shut off. Can’t see any data or control it at all.

    App still needs a lot of work on the air quality charts. Since outdoor and indoor air quality is typically very different, the result is a chart that’s hard to read as you’re view extremes. Also, it’s not possible to adjust the view via touch screen. Essentially, it’s not a value add. I’d prefer to be able to filter so I just see indoor air quality as don’t care about outdoor seeing as I’m inside. The only time it’s helpful is when I’m going to open windows so I know to turn the machine off. I can get that information other places though.

    It would be helpful to add a button in the app to control the light. It’s inconvenient to have to go to the physical unit to adjust it as usually the time I need you adjust it is at night when I’m in bed.
