For Pharmacy/Prescription Coverage Use CVS Caremark App

I will be using WellCare for my Medicare prescription plan in ‘24. This app does appear to be functional as opposed to the WellCare web site which can’t be accessed at all half the time. However the CVS Caremark service is managing this coverage and that app, and web site, is far more functional. It already shows my current plan as well as my upcoming WellCare plan. So for those who have problems with this app and only need access to your prescription plan use the Caremark app instead. If you read through the reviews here even the developers are telling you to do that. The Caremark app has been significantly improved and functions extremely well giving you complete management and info of your prescription drug plan.

This app doesn’t show your id card and the pharmacy locator does not work. Pretty worthless.

This app doesn’t show your id card and the pharmacy locator doesn’t work. I sent screen shots showing that the app has issues. Also tried to report these issue on the WellCare web site. That process doesn’t work either. It doesn’t recognize text in message field and therefore won’t send the message. I sent screen shots on all these issues to email sent to me as a result of someone seeing this review.

Not helpful, many features don’t work

App promises only a very basic set of features and unfortunately most of those simply don’t work. Pharmacy finder yields no results. Drug cost lookup shows inaccurate information, with all medications listing as $0.00. Claims history also shows no results despite the fact that my pharmacy recently attempted to process a prescription.

The features for displaying autopay status and making a payment do work. Displaying one’s card works intermittently.

Worthless App

I’m new to WellCare, recently choosing them as my Medicare part D plan. I’ve used many health related apps and this one has to be the worst. I can log in but literally there is no useful information available. The pharmacy search reveals none when I know for fact there are several within 10 miles from my home. Trying to search for drug costs my dosage amounts and quantities are not an option and are not editable. Zero stars wasn’t an option or would have given that.

Only a front end?

It appears that this app is only a front end to their website. It is difficult to set up, and when it sends you to their website it doesn’t transmit your information to that website, so you to go through screens again.

Useless App

No need to download it. You are immediately sent to a page that try’s to sell you a new account and it is impossible to get past it. Don’t waste your time. It has less than a 2 star rating for a good reason.

Absolute waste of time, trying to set this up

The newest update not sure what they did to it, but the previous one worked adequately to give me immediate access to my member ID. However, it’s newest update has been impossible. I have spent the last hour and a half staring at the spinning wheel of death each time I try to update my information with the new password and user ID. Don’t waste your time

Very poorly implemented…

There’s a reason this app is rated so low. Bad design if you can log in. I updated the app, now I can’t log in at all. To many other choices, so I’m moving my scripts to elsewhere. Update: After trying to log in from another device, a computer and a different IP address, it’s apparent their website is down for several weeks now. Including entering a URL and from the app. If they do not care to fix a simple web site problem, why would I think the rest of their service would be any better. After checking reviews on Apple here over the years, I realize this app is the single worst rated. Just scroll through the reviews, it’s dismal.

Since the update I’m not able to log in. Keeps telling me to create an new account. I’m not longer able to access my account

Now you want my personal ID to fix your app? No I’ll not send out personal info Just fix the log in.

Does NOT Work!!!

I’ve been trying to use this app for a very long time. I thought after a few years they would get their act together, but I was wrong!! All it says is that there’s no information available for this site.
It completely useless!!
