  • Terrible app

No improvement over the previous version. Trying to schedule away time. No way to see what is scheduled. When I open the app it says I am home even though I have scheduled away multiple times. This is for a propane fired water heater. ADDED. Following the email instructions for updating the app was a mistake. I had to delete the water heater and reinstall it on the app. The on line support for this combination is totally lacking.

  • Seriously?

Was working fine. App stopped working. New APP! Doesn’t connect at all. Garbage. It is crazy how every company in the world feels they need to pretend to be a technology company. Keep it simple and functional, my thermostat doesn’t need to be a Tesla. Fix this garbage quickly please!
  • Too many issues

    1. text on main screen is collapsed, so you cannot read it. Like Status : "Compres..."
    2. setting schedule on app, doesn't mean that heater will follow that. Like save schedule on the app,but heater does it's own life.
    3. constant error "app disconnected"
  • Does everything I need it to

This newer app is more modern-looking and it does everything I need. I especially appreciate the energy tracking and graphs, comparing current usage with past and giving me the kWh consumed. It’s nice to see the health report on the elements, shutoff valve, and leak sensor too.
  • Too little information

I do not need a home and away function at the top of the screen. It gets in the way of doing my units

More importantly, I have a heat pump system so I would like to know if it’s heating with the heat pump or with the furnace

Otherwise, the app is totally useless
  • Rheem Econet for water heater

The app connects without too much problem, but one of what I would consider an important detail is where is the actual temperature of the water? The setpoint is big & bold but I don’t know what the temperature of the hot water is! I would think this would be something of great interest. It would also be nice to be able to graph the temperature over time. This would allow the ability to determine roughly how long it might take to reach a target temperature and recovery after heavy use of hot water.

  • Not entirely hopelessly bad….

….but reasonably close. One of the least user-friendly apps I’ve ever seen. The update is less ridiculously bad but you would expect they could get it right given the abundance of one star reviews of the last iteration. At least they are consistent
  • DOA

Been a user of the Rheem Econet app (previous version) for several years. It wasn’t a fantastic app but it worked most of the time. Got the email about a brand new app (2/24/2023) and followed the instructions to remove the old app and install the new one. Well, that was a mistake. Can’t login to the new one, sent the request for a new password by way of email and still waiting for the password reset email to arrive. So now I have absolutely no connectivity to my thermostats. Oh and I tried the phone method too and it reported that my email didn’t match my phone number and refused to allow it. So it’s a dead stick. Thanks for the update.

  • Econet

I would expect a better app, this is beginner bad UX/UI and why can’t I see all the stats/menus that are on credentials thermostat
  • Progress

New UI is nice and fewer clicks are needed to change what I wanted to set. Uninstalled the old EcoNet app. Maybe the old app should be pulled from the app stores to avoid confusion.
