  • What A Great Service ( I thought )

    I’ve been using this app for more then a year. Getting new things I’ve needed after a bad stint of luck leaving my credit in the whole. Kept paying everything off before my 90 days to pay it off without the crazy interest. Everything I’ve purchased which has been a lot of stuff maybe 10 larger purchases in the last 15 months paid ON TIME PAID OFF NO PROBLEM! All while getting a larger and larger line of credit….. Until today I go to make a purchase, says I’m approved for 1200 (which I’ve used 2 times now to the fullest and paid in a timely and early manner) only wanted to use 400 of it. It says I’ve been denied ( no reasons why) and can’t apply to use at all for 30 days! I’m assuming bc I’ve paid everything EARLY to avoid the extra interest (that mind you IT OFFERS AND ENCOURAGED) they aren’t making lick off me so they don’t want my business! Gosh that just PeeD Me Off and after speaking so highly and send so much business this way! Shame. Thought I found a great needed service. But it’s another illusion

  • Payments

    I don’t really like that they include your payment due and the next payment together makes it look like you’re always a payment behind so for a while I was paying twice the amount than what was required. Why don’t we just put up the weekly payment due not the next two weeks?? Other than that if you have auto pay like I do but ran into some issues cause I got a new card theee guys aren’t bad,,,, it’s auto pay it pays for itself so,,,,,,

  • Irritated and scammy company

    The closer i got to my 90 day pay off the app tells me 1 day "no internet", the next day "billing must match debit card please email us" but my billing never matched my address on file and katapult has no issue processing my payment every week. I email twice to have my address changed and still no update. I call and get to half of the phone prompts and before i can even get to say what it is i want the options change so fast and then the automatic prompter goes "goodbye " and the call drops. The chat box also gets -1000 stars. I sign on the nxt day and get an "update app" message. My app is updated and they have not updated my billing address either. Now i have missed my payoff date. This feels so scammy this app works literally any day i log into it but to pay my payoff the app does not work the last 4 days. This is a scam

  • Could be improved

    I enjoy the multiple retailers available on the platform , and the opportunity provided to finance, but some have 0 impact on your credit score for reporting back to creditors. It would be nice to be able to build credit on my purchases. Another problem I deal with is the autopay feature. It will attempt to pull every week , even if you have a suspense account balance. And continue to attempt to pull and post charges on your financial account provided until the money is received. It states in the description for the suspense account balance that it will be used to pay the next payment periods until it is drained which is a lie.

    Katapult isn’t the best for expensive items as you need to pay off the balance within three months otherwise you’re paying double what the item actually costs. For example if you buy some that’s $1000 if you don’t pay that within three months then the balance owed is $2000 and stretched out in weekly payments over the course of a year. If you’re planning on using this for smaller purchases than this is great because it gives you three months to pay off the entire balance without having to pay that outrageous lease amount that they offer you. Customer service reps are nice and helpful. I just wish that they would either give us the power to use Katapult anywhere we’d like via Apple Pay/Samsung pay/Google pay etc or add more practical stores to their website for us to use.

  • USELESS APP, USELESS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

    This app is the knitted condom of shopping/leasing apps. It’s beyond useless, you cannot use it to check out because it’s either stuck “Validating” or gives you some bogus error - like the items aren’t leasable when in fact they are on the list of allowed items. If you reach out to the equally useless customer service they avoid your actual questions and just tell me that I don’t have a current approval but when I log in it says I’m approved for like $2400. But NO per customer service the error I’m getting is because I need to get an updated approval. I ALREADY HAVE THE SAME APPROVAL! Like for real I’ve used Katapult several times on Wayfair and it works great. Try to use it anywhere else via their stupid app and it doesn’t work. LITERALLY KATAPULT WHY DO YOU EVEN LIST OTHER STORES WHEN YOU GUYS ONLY WORK WITH WAYFAIR??? I am so angry at this app I could write sonnets about how much I hate it and how complete and utterly useless it is. Save your sanity use a different service if possible, or just use it on Wayfair? I have to go do karate on the lawn now to calm down. Ugh!
