  • This App Will Steak Your Money

    Regardless of whether or not you want to try this app, the second you accept the free trial, you are playing right into their hands. There is no way to cancel this trial, and you will inevitably be receiving a $30 charge. They don’t care, as they respond with the same copy paste response to any negative comment pertaining to this, pleading to solve things over email. Breaking news, if you add an unsubscribe button, you will be doing everybody complaining about it a favor. There is nothing to “talk in private” about, you all are expected to concede to the standards held by other subscription services, and you don’t. This is a scam, and i can not urge you enough not to initiate the free trial. Nothing is free about it. Thanks for the overdraft, jerks.

  • Dodgy.

    I signed up a year ago, didn’t find the app useful, so forgot all about it.

    Received an attempted charge on my card today. Had to go through emails to figure out what “Effecto” even was — nothing recent informing me of this charge. Assuming it’s an annual thing since I have an email from exactly a year ago welcoming me.

    It’s incredibly difficult to find out how to cancel the subscription, as it’s not through the App Store. Ended up sending an email and requesting it.

    Seems like pretty predatory behaviour for an app targeted at people with ADHD.

  • Terrible customer service

    I wanted to try this app but didn’t end up using it at all. Despite it being removed from my Apple subscriptions I continued to be charged (no receipts in my Apple account) I attempted to reach out to customer support, I have sent multiple emails that have been ignored, I attempted to call the listed phone number multiple times and the message is that it’s not an available number. I emailed again requesting a phone number and was informed that customer service was “always here to help” and yet no phone number or response to my request for a refund since I had already canceled my subscription was provided. These emails and calls have been over 3 weeks and still the issue is not resolved. Zero stars and very shady practices.

  • Tracks habits, does not help ADHD

    Apparently this is the second time I’ve tried this app, the App Store says so. I have ADHD and so, I can’t remember.
    I am concerned about how I shall cancel the subscription I approved, but for now, I wish to talk about the actual app.
    The ‘Plan’ tab consists of information only, and information we ADHDers are already fully aware of.
    Lesson two: distractibility (misspelled ‘distractability’) informs me that I am distractible and the solution provided is to find the distractible symptom on the list, track it daily, and analyse my attention patterns.
    Am I to input each and every time I become distracted from a desired task? If so, what do I learn other than that I am distractible?
    The app is troublesome, and perhaps even unethical as aimed at struggling ADHDers.
    You can track almost anything you could ever think of, but even with long term and detailed input, you would still just have a pattern of ADHD symptoms, not help to manage those symptoms, nor a personalised solution as promised.
    This app will not help anyone with ADHD. You will forget to input most of the vague data required (bowel movement, step count, cooked today, motivation etc), and then you will feel as if you have failed and your RSD will be triggered, but it is actually the app that has failed you.

  • Do not use. No refund. Auto renews without notice

    Not happy with app and especially that it will auto renew membership without any notice, email or message. This is expensive and not worth it at all. On contacting customer service they were a hard no on refund despite no use and no communications of renewal. Terrible business model. My advice is do not use this at all.

  • Stay away

    I really want to give negative stars…my son has ADHD and is beginning to struggle in Jr High, so I was looking around on website and apps. I downloaded quite a few apps to see what they were about. Effecto was one of them. I had no idea that I signed up for a subscription until I got a $60 charge months after I had deleted the app. I could t figure out how they got my info because it wasn’t listed with my other subscriptions on my Apple account. They won’t give me a refund because of their policies. This app is not user friendly at all and customer support is a joke. It look them a week to tell me that I wouldn’t get my money back “but please continue to use the app until your subscription expires.” What a horrible company and they claim to help people 🙄

  • Misleading information on how to cancel

    DO NOT fall for this scam. It states on the apple description page how to stop auto renewal but you will do this thinking you’ve canceled and then will be charged again. When you question it, they will quote their terms of use which is conveniently not a link and you will have to hunt that info down and in it, it says that if you paid through their site then you will have to contact them to cancel. But the scam is that when you pay, it takes you to an off app site to pay. So nobody is able to stop the auto renew via Apple Subscriptions. It’s a complete scam. And a pisspoor excuse for an app. Don’t let the fake “good” reviews here fool you. This is a money making scam that takes advantage of people.

  • This app IS A SCAM

    Do not be sucked in by the glossy adverts on instagram. This app can’t help you with anything other than loosing money and wasting your time complaining to a company that has a no refund policy. It’s appalling and anyone advertising this in their insta or working for this company should be very ashamed, it’s essentially a crime which they seem to be able to get away with. I will be reporting them to watchdog uk. Read the reviews and believe them! Don’t even sign up for a trial - they steal your money, and remember they do not EVER refund so you will loose. The app does not function so even if you could open it, which you can’t, you would never have the chance to see if there is any substance to their claims. It’s false, fake and it is a SCAM. Learn from others mistakes. Really terrible experience. I will never buy an adhd app or fall for the false promise again. Fingers have been well and truly burnt from these criminals.

  • Worst app ever

    This is the worst app I have ever downloaded the worst bit is it cost for $100 total waste of money scam
