Occasionally functional, hardly intuitive
It seems as though this app was created using the 'bare minimum' approach. I've had no issues with crashing (on my 3G), but using the app is rather slow, from basic functioning to downloading timetables. This I can deal with, but the fact that, despite the app fetching timetable information via 3G, timetables don't show live updates. The 'next five' function will show you the next five services, even if one (or more) of those services have been canceled, the the time until departure won't reflect delays. Keep in mind there IS a 'disruption' menu buried out of sight, but if this information is available to the app then there's no reason to keep it hidden from users and separate from where people will really need it - the part of the app where users will go when they quickly want to see when their next train will arrive.
Metlink have put next to no thought into user experience and ease of use during the creation of this app. What should be a simple and quick process - checking to see when the next train is - is rendered ineffective by sloppy design and a lack of consideration for users. All the information is there, somewhere, Metlink just doesn't seem to care if you can see it, and, most importantly, if it will actually be useful to you.Show lesskitescantfly
Bad interface
Please redesign this so it's more user-friendly. It could show the route, use gps to find stops, etc.
Or better still, just provide Metlink info on Google Maps and then we can just use the transit search there....Shortsean70

Great app! I'll be using this when I travel to oz, however it would help if I could just choose from a list of tourist attractions rather than the name of the stop. It would also be good if there was information on where to purchase passes for the duration of the trip.Spncer
Handy at Times
The new update doesn't show platform number for me. Just tells me what train to take. It doesn't have holiday schedule either and has some difficulty finding some locations. Make this app as good as the trip planner online !Yen N
Must have this app
As a first time visitor to Melbourne, this app is simply awesome! Only thing I'd suggest would be to be able to open a map stop in google maps from the trip planner directions, so we know where to walk to.MobiusNZ

Really handy app. I suggest spending a bit of time playing around with it so you know how to get to all the features. The timetables are useful, as is the trip planner. Data updates are big so do them while on wireless or it'll cost a lot.mb136

This free app is great, as a visitor to Melbourne, the app makes using the public transport system very easy. It combines trains, buses and trams all in a very user friendly interface.

Great app. All the info you need in your pocket. Syncs are a bit on the big side. Make sure you do it on wifi or aren't in a big hurry. Overall well done.rodolpho gazpari
