  • Lost my cards

Lost my cards on the app and it won’t let me re install them back in. A note comes up saying already installed. Don’t know yet if it’s affected auto top ups. Why do a up grade before testing it first.
  • This app is literally USELESS 💚

Literally the most annoying thing ever doesn’t show delays properly does NOT show the quickest route it literally told me to walk to Melbourne central instead of just taking the train from Richmond to flinders street and catching a city loop from there??? The arriving and departing time feature is glitchy, the myki top up feature is good but other then that the app actually does not do its job. It told me to get on the 10:34 lilydale train just now , only for me to arrive at the platform and it actually be the Belgrave and the lilydale wasn’t even coming for 20 minutes. the 10:34 train was delayed 3 minutes so why couldn’t it have just told me that as well?? Thank god the Belgrave would have taken me to the place I wanted to go anyway but if I had no prior knowledge of the Melbourne train system I would be stuck waiting upwards of 20 minutes for NO REASON when I could have taken any train going past flinders street. I’ve been taking the train every day into the city consistently for 3 years and I can confidently say that the PTV app is a total dud if you wanna go anywhere where you have to change trains, a coding student could create a better app than this and I’m not surprised that the trains all stopped when we had the Optus outage because honestly you just have to use the app once to understand how terribly the metro system is managed. The app is literally wrong about timing or even the actual train your supposed to take about 50-60% of the time which is annoying because I don’t want to just see any way to get home I want to see the closest train I can take?? The fares charged for these trains is absurd considering all of the above + the fact that’s it’s literally almost impossible to use the PTV website to work out how to buy a myki and I STILL haven’t figured out how to buy a myki pass smh. I hate this app so much and today was the last straw not because it particularly inconvenienced me, but because it would have seriously delayed and confused a person who isn’t familiar with the metro train system and those are the people this app is supposed to help?? This app doesn’t need to be updated or fixed, metro needs a whole new team of developers to just start from scratch and make a new one.

  • Auto top up issue

The app does not allow me to adjust my Auto top up settings. Very frustrating
  • App keeps showing unauthorised device detected

App keeps showing this even though I know my device is not jailbroken:

    Unauthorised device detected

Sorry, but we cannot proceed on jailbroken devices for security reasons.

Please use a standard device to access this app.
  • can be hard to understand

how to understand and always a delay with time also it doesn’t correctly say which train lines to take to get somewhere very limited
  • Most user unfriendly, cumbersome to use app

This app must have been written by ‘developers’ who have no idea. Awkward, cumbersome, unintuitive to use. The card scan function has got to be the most useless function. Can any other app be worse?
  • Could be better

The actual timetable and the times on the app (usually the times under the ‘search’ tab, especially bus times) can off by a few minutes.
  • Review

The app is accurate and useful especially for general everyday travel, but some of the user interfaces are a bit finicky, like the fact that there’s a glitch which stops me from scrolling down when I try to look at the details of a route. It also takes time to get used to the way to use the app, since it’s a little more complicated than google maps or Apple Maps. It would be great if they could fix the scroll issue, since I encounter that a lot and it annoys me.

  • Seriously Needs an Update

The main benefit of this app is that it tells you what platform your train will be on, which Google Maps does not. It is also an easy, convenient way to check your myki balance. However, the Apple Pay function is broken so it’s not easy to top up through the app. And there are several random functional issues that really need to be fixed. For example, when you’ve searched directions, the page will not allow you to scroll down normally. You can drag to scroll to the bottom, but as soon as you move your finger off the screen, it will jump back to the top of the page. Therefore, if you need to click to see details, like disruption alerts or stops on your journey, anything below the top of the page is impossible to click on. Issues like this make the app almost entirely pointless. Google Maps is far more user friendly.

  • Somethings Wrong!

“We facing a little issue” - This app doesn’t allow you link your myki card when creating a new account, by tapping or manually entering the myki card number. Absolute junk but by Victorian Govt standards, par for course.
