Terrible!!!!
Very difficult to save your favorite stops and trips. About 75% of the time it fails to load my journey or the schedule.
Save yourself the headache of this app and use the journey planner online.Borntolove
Route Map & Platforms
HATE that I was forced to "upgrade" to this untested and BROKEN app.
Have finally figured out how to get some information out of it
Like setting up your favorites at 0200 when there is nobody using the app.
Then when you ned to use these favorites in the mornign just go back and forth three times to get rid of the "no results" error.
But even if this bug gets fixed there are HUGE problems.
1. Best features of the Metlink app was the route maps - the google map type map is NOT a route map !
2. Second best feature was the journey planner provided the PLATFORM connection data.
This is a MUST when wandering through Flinders where the platforms change constantly
But still helpful even when going to small stations you have never been to.
The canned feedback response is also a JOKE.
First they come out and tell us to go back to using the Metlink classic - though because it hadn't been updated has its own problems.
Today they posted that they have put the old WORKING Metlink app back on the store - BUT IT IS NOT HERE !!!
PT Victoria MUST demand their money back from the developers of this crAPPShow lesslwe4n6
What happened?
I understand the rebrand, I do, and I'm as excited as I can be that PT in Melbourne will be looked after by one body, but by enforcing an upgrade on an app that worked with an app that is this broken has rubbed me the wrong way. Not only does the new app stop me from quickly checking what time the next train is from my station / the station I know I'm closest to, it also deleted my favourites and made it very difficult to add them back in unless they are added to a complete journey. I don't care what time my transport option arrives at my destination, I just care about the scheduled departure time.
Please make it easier to pick a station / stop and see what time the next Transport option departs.
I understand that it is new and it might seem to the developers like a facebook update that everyone will get over in a week or two, but this is bigger than someone moving my cheese. This app needs to work effortlessly and efficiently and right now it does neither. It may be suitable for very occasional users or visitors to the city but for the everyday user it is hopeless. Luckily most of my pt is via tram and the tram tracker app works beautifully.
Hopefully I can grab the old app from my wife's phone and reinstall it on mine so I can have an obsolete app that works; it must be a better option than this! There is no getting used to it, it just doesn't work.Show lessCptwillypc
Absolute Crap
Taken a great app and made it totally useless. Takes forever to update. Uninstall and use Metlink Classic.

Where'd my journey planner go?!
I've never reviewed an app before (awful, I know), but I had to just to tell people how awful this app is. I loved using the Metrolink journey planner to plan routes, and now this new replacement app has removed all such useful features. It's now utterly useless. What a huge disappointment. Not user friendly
The new version "pt" is difficult to use There are no instructions or guides to its use, and can be unreliable when you do figure it out.Smithcd91
Tedious!
The app is usable...barely. Basically you have to plan on spending 20-30 minutes getting all of your favorite stations and routes set up, which is a very tedious process. Simple things like the app not finding any trains to "Parliament", because you didn't specify "Parliament Station" are pretty annoying.
Search results seem inconsistent. Several times it returns no results for a favorite route, but if I press back and try it again it will show results the second time around.
Definitely not something you want to rely on when your in a hurry to catch a train. Stick with the old app if you can.Show lessICouldHaveBoughtCoffee
