Pre booking doesn’t work

I downloaded this app as I needed to pre book a 4:30 am trip to the airport and I wanted peace of mind. First problem was that I had to add a pre pay option and I wanted to pay with a physical Cab Charge from work, which is not an option. Second problem was that the booking request sent and nothing happened! No confirmation even though it was 48 hours in advance. The app stays stuck on the booking request and you can’t do anything else except call 13 Cabs to make another booking. After reading the reviews I cancelled the booking and booked with Silvertop online (no need for an app or pre payment method). Within 30 minutes I had received a phone call to check the details and a confirmation SMS. 13 Cabs still have not responded to my 3 help requests sent via email and phone (one of these is from yesterday). Like everyone else I cannot understand why this app is rated so highly!

Made me late for an appointment

I used this app for the specific purpose of booking a taxi to arrive at a specific time to attend a medical appointment. I chose this app as it was easier to make a booking than swan taxis app was.
I made the booking in the morning for a 4.25pm taxi. At 4.28pm while outside waiting, I received a call from the driver saying he was 10 minutes away and would arrive at about 4.40pm. Apparently he had only just been notified of my needing a taxi. My medical appointment was meant to be at 4.45pm and was a 15 minute drive away. I ended up having to sprint up and down the street I work on looking for a taxi and fortunately found a swan taxi after a highly stressful 5 minutes of running.

This app and taxi company caused me to be late for an appointment I planned to arrived early to. If I hadn't run looking for another taxi I would have been even later. The only reason I was able to keep the appointment was the Dr and nurse very kindly stayed back for me. They shouldn't have had to.

There is no point in letting people make bookings if you don't communicate that booking to the taxi drivers before the booking time. I do not blame the driver for this. I blame the app and management of the taxi service. I will never use this app or taxi company again. Swan taxis are just more reliable.

Terrible Service!

compared to uber, this app is a sham. the waits are consistently too long(at least in city center of sydney). drivers have no idea where they are going, and are rude. I have been driven by at least half a dozen drivers as I waited outside the front of my hotel. Note this happened at more than one hotel. When you get in the car, after you've already confirmed the address in app, they still ask "where are you going and whats the address" because they genuinely don't know where they are going from their side. it's terrible overall. Wouldn't use this app unless you absolutely had to

Crashes

Try to book a trip but when I enter the address the app just crashes.. useless

The latest update

Since the latest update I haven’t been able to even open the app let alone log into the app. Every time I put my password in it deletes it and keeps getting me to put it in. Haven’t been able to use this app for about 2 months. Get a grip and fix your app I hate having to call the taxi service.. EDIT: so my issues have been fixed in the latest update and I can finally log into the app and book taxis again. Took you guys 2 months but better than nothing. I’m moving my rating to 4 stars due to the functionality being great when the app actually does work properly

Completely unreliable

I scheduled a taxi 12 hours in advance for 7:30 am to go to the airport. At 7:30 it says it is still looking for. Cab, same at 7:40. I call, they say they do t have any wagons available, but they did t notify me or offer to remedy the problem. Took over 30 minutes for them to get a taxi to me. Sure hope I don’t miss my flight. Worst service ever. No apologies, no offer to make it right.

Scheduling is a lie

So. My family is out of town and I don’t drive so I decided to try getting a cab instead of an Uber and I’ve heard they’re more reliable. At 3pm I schedule my ride for 8am the next day. 8am comes no cab, 9am comes, no cab, 9:15 and a cab turns up. (This is all after speaking to customer service and them telling me I need to book 15 mins before I want them to arrive so they can get me a driver. 1 that’s not how scheduling someone works, 2 even if I had scheduled them he was still OVER AN HOUR LATE. Then he proceeds to not figure out how to use their own systems (this is all while driving, so he’s not looking at he road) drive with his phone on his lap and keep looking down at it so he can see where he’s supposed to be going, not that it helped because he got lost anyway. I am genuinely shocked. I didn’t think anyone could be worse than Uber. This is the first and last time I will take a cab.

No tracking

Disappointed the app would not track my journey once started, only offered to rate my trip. Where is the customer security?

2 terrible experiences and ZERO support

I don’t know how it is this company has such a high rating on this app after my 2 experiences and seeing how low their rating is on Google. I just wrote a long review on Google about our experience today plus my previous experience 2 months ago on the way to the airport.

Long story short: today our paid booking was cancelled according to the driver, but we did not cancel on the app. This lead to the cabbie arguing with my wife pressuring her into paying again. When I called to resolve, I was sent in circles between 13 Cabs and another cab company ultimately ending in being told by 13 Cabs, a 3rd party has our money from the in app payment. That’s an issue; but the fact 13 Cabs had no one that could own and resolve this issue which is still not resolved.

App is no longer being used in this household and I encourage others to do the same.
