  • DO NOT USE THIS APP!!! They will rip you off!!

    I made my first purchase yesterday. My check out price was about $294 which I approved. The next day I check my credit card statement online….. guess what? You got it. They charged me $320 not $294. There is a hidden $26 service fee that they did not disclose when I checked out my order. It’s a percentage of your purchase!! And they don’t disclose it!!! It’s actually credit card fraud to charge more than approved and to have hidden fees. If you stay on this app… make sure to factor in an almost 10% extra fee. (Because you also have to pay tax on this hidden “service fee”). Either way… you will pay more than you thought you were going to and it will be at least 10%… maybe next time they’ll just arbitrarily make it 20% or 30% who cares right? They have your credit card information after all… they can add on and charge whatever service fee they like... be smart… DELETE THIS APP…THEY WILL STEAL YOUR HARD EARNED CASH!!

  • Bad experience for sellers, too

    Edited: As I have started selling on the platform, I’ve accepted 4 offers from buyers. All 4 have timed out and the buyer doesn’t pay for their item. Make payment automatic when an offer is accepted. I deleted all my listings and am moving to Poshmark.

    I bought an expensive vintage designer dress that had major, undisclosed flaws. The design of the dress includes many seams which were filled with a thin wire to give the dress structure. The seller did not disclose that the wires were all broken and poking into the inside and outside of the dress, making it completely unwearable. I sent the dress back for a re-check, including notes that drew attention to the flaws, but Vestiaire found that the dress was acceptable and matched the description the seller provided. What a shame and embarrassment. This is my last purchase with VC, and I will be closing my account if and when this dress sells from my account. Woe to the person the buys it, but I have no means of recouping the funds otherwise.

  • Warning About Shipping to FPO/APO Addresses!!

    I had already written a review months ago and I guess can only write one, so it is well worth it to write over my previous review with this one.

    If you are military stationed on ship or abroad and you intend to use your APO/FPO to receive items through this app, you need to make contact with the company BEFOREHAND and tell them! The app does not give you an option to write your address correctly (you can’t choose “AA/AE/AP” as your state like you are supposed to). Vestiaire seems to almost default to making the sellers into shipping the item via UPS and UPS will NOT ship to military post offices! Resulting in delays and you potentially having to repurchase your items AFTER the seller gets it returned to them and republishes it. Vestiaire should implement that if they have a buyer with an APO/FPO address that ONLY USPS OR FEDEX is the authorized carrier because those are the only two that can ship to military post offices!!

  • Sellers mail your item and you might get paid

    Veteran seller here. Decided to risk selling even though I had read all of the negative reviews. Had a number of sales go well and then suddenly they pull the rug out from under you. Mind you this is after I had received the revered “trusted seller” badge. My sale showed delivered 3 days after purchase by USPS. I could tell system was not recognizing this and tried to alert customer service. They claim customer has 72 to inspect and payment 24 hours later…apparently not. Zero help from 2 chats so took it to Twitter where they finally responded to tell me that they do see delivery but that they are giving buyer until end of the week….why? Are we doing this where we just make up the rules as we go along…seller absorbs all the risk? Should I just hope that someone eventually pays me?
    Buyer has her item, Vestiaire has their money and I apparently have to hope that I am granted my payment by the almighty Vestiaire powers that be…Number one complaint on every review site about VC is lack of customer service. The reseller field is wide open right now and they are missing the boat. Forget the marketing and the glossy ads..customers and sellers read reviews and there is a glaring issue with your customer service.

  • Sellers beware

    I am currently going through a similar issue as one of the other reviewers below, so this is definitely a pattern. I sold a sweater and shipped within the 7 day timeframe. Now because USPS (the carrier I use) sometimes doesn’t scan the item till it’s in their actual warehouse, and I use a pick-up system, it wasn’t registered as shipped until a day after. Vestiaire still went ahead and canceled my sale even though the item was already en route. The buyer has also received the item, and they don’t know what to do. Vestiaire has rerouted me multiple times, it’s taken them DAYS to respond to their chat. I’ve even forwarded them their own email notification that “my item has been delivered” - yet they are still holding onto my payment. I suppose this is another stream of income for them. The item was delivered on 12/18. It is currently 12/28 and I still don’t have an answer. The company is a scam and a joke. I suggest everyone go back to depop, Grailed, therealreal, etc. I’ve never had this type of issue anywhere else. The 5 star reviews are probably all fake - if you sort by most recent you’ll see.

  • The Worst App Out There

    I use quite a few apps for thrifting: I am a Poshmark buyer and seller, I use ThredUp (mostly selling), and I like TheRealReal (mostly for buying). I know there are other solid ones out there, but I really hope this one dies out. This app makes Ebay look good. The app takes NO accountability for the inactive accounts they have floating around. I reached out to customer service and he dead serious just quit responding. I had asked about my money back, gave a canned response. Asked what their policy is on shutting down non-active sellers and he just … quit responding. Now I am just stuck waiting, hoping to get my money back. I never leave reviews. I am a seller and I am a buyer, I get it. But I hate this app so much it’s the most sus app out there. If my review isn’t enough filter by one star (I have no idea how this app has 4.6 stars) and read the horror stories. They are not lying. I know it looks like you can order the item you want, but it isn’t real. You can’t.

  • Fraudulent company

    They entice you with a $30 coupon off of $150. I bought an item for $152. The order went through but then after a few days it was cancelled by vestiare. I contacted them and the agent told me to buy the item again. Following the agents instructions I bought the item again and applied the coupon. my total was $156. I submitted that order. Then when I went to check if my item was shipped I saw they charged me $186. When I contacted the agent, she told me that the coupon was not applied because I had to wait 48 hours before the refund was made to my original order. The agent never mentioned this the day that I was making the purchase,
    . they refused to honor their coupon. Not only that but when I was checking out, the total was submitted in $156. So they intentionally changed the amount after you already placed the order, this is so illegal. I will never recommend this company to any of my friends or relatives. This purchasing process was the worst process I had ever had to go through one purchasing online. Their agents are there to mislead the customers to their own benefit. Plus there is no way to call them. It’s all done through chat. Save your money and buy from Mama mama a reputable source.

  • Obnoxious, the effort it’s not worth the results

    To start it takes about 35 to 45 minutes to do one post with the details. They are looking for once you gather all the information and you take the pictures exactly as they want a half of the posts get rejected because of whatever vetting process they have for your items they deemed to not be authentic. Despite having the receipt gift box, retail bag, that item comes with it still deemed not authentic when in reality, there’s nothing more to prove its authenticity than the receipt at the store it came from. So you’ve wasted 35 to 45 minutes of three or four times just to continue getting the same item listed.
    The other glitch is when you have a very desirable item(as I do) you are spammed a ton by people who want to contact you outside of the app and when you report it does you get any further this app has like me down so many dead ends wasted so much of my time and out of nine items I have attempted to sell only four of them are and out of the 41 has sold. The one that sold was only listed after I wrote this review. I wish I had my time back. And I can’t see any of my items out of my closet, going any further than the short fallings, where my profile has landed.

  • Awful for selling

    I already have quite a well known shop on depop so I thought I’d sell my more higher quality items on Vestiaire. I’ve had Vestiaire for two years now and I’ve had an issue on almost every item I’ve sold, with abysmal customer service and a very long response time. This most recent sale has made me pull all my items from Vestiaire because I’m sick of it.
    I sold a wallet and shipped it. Seven days later I get an email from Vestiaire saying that my sale has been cancelled because I didn’t ship the item. I contact the buyer, who says she received the item and does not know what’s going on. Over the next MONTH, I communicate with Vestiaire back and forth, asking for my payment. Vestiaire continued to elude my questions for weeks at a time and only until I started being quite rude did they begin to take me seriously. I sold my item on April 24th, 2023. I finally got my payment on May 23rd, 2023.
    I am tired of being ignored on Vestiaire by their customer support and lack of organization. I will no longer be selling on this app, and will remain on depop where I have been selling for the past four years with significantly less drama.

  • Lost my package and then claimed it was delivered

    Vestiaire lost my item. According to the courier it never left the vestiaire’s warehouse, but according to vestiaire, there was a bug in the system and the item was delivered successfully! No one gave me any explanation as to when the item was supposedly delivered, who signed off, the details of delivery, … nothing! They refuse to give my money back and i am left without an item I was really looking forward to receiving and without a refund. I used to love buying with them, even though there are many negatives (high fees, and counterfeit items that can be spotted from miles away make it onto their platform), the positive of finding some great pieces with a bit of patience and research weighted out the negative. The app is easy to use and overall it is a positive experience, except for stealing my money, losing the prospect of wearing an item i really wanted and vestiaire refusing to take any responsibility whatsoever. The customer is on its own. It is shameful.
