It is never clear when to re-order prescription refills, information on old prescriptions is never removed so there are multiple entries for the same medication that are extremely confusing, and on and on. When you are out of refills, Express Scripps says they will notify the doctor for a new prescription upon your request, and they do, and the doctors office will issue the refill and then Express Scripts will make an entry on the website that the doctor refused refill for the medication and it is canceled—and they never notify you of that fact, so your prescriptions often run out. That also creates a horrible burden on your doctors office as they have to field calls from you multiple times To re-issue the same prescription to Express Scripts.
If you call and wait through the interminable menus and delays, the staff is very helpful, but it is a pain in the neck and a terrible time sink to have to keep calling to try to get things cleared up.
We are slowly shifting all of our prescriptions to a local pharmacy for refills.
