  • Worthless company

Got gas one day and they took a couple days to take out the money from my account and me not realizing they still hadn’t took it out I was under by about 3 dollers and got an over draft fee of 25 for not having sufficient founds then again 3 days later another 25 so I called and asked what for, they weren’t helpful at all they couldn’t return my money or help out like during a pandemic you’d think they would alert you or something just recharged me so all my 3 years saving of 10 cents a gallon down the drain over 3 dollers like how are you going to charge someone 25 after not having sufficient funds thus also cause my banks draft fees doubling it to over $100 for total money lost. Also before charging the second 25 they had already put my card account on freeze so don’t know why they charged me again.( I figured if it’s late then I will at least get a couple days to get a check and pay it off since I also had whasted what I had on rent and bills but they didn’t help with anything thought company would be better always loved Cumberland since there old stores but lately not been impressed with anything

  • Never felt so welcome

The Southampton Cumberland Farms is the best Cumbies ever. It is always clean from the front door to the bathroom. You always receive a welcome response every time you walk in the door. The staff is always courteous and pleasant and treat you like you’re been friends forever! It’s breathtaking to have a real person to interact or with rather than a robot like person who doesn’t even acknowledge you walked into the store. Even if I didn’t live right in town I definitely would go out of my way to come here just to have a pleasant morning experience to start my day!

  • Very Sad

In order to use this app. They want you to give up too much personal information. Rather than take some basic information maybe your phone number or something that you can recognize without giving up banking information would be nice. I think they over thought this and want to collect data on you and then sell it who knows. However I don’t trust any company trying to get that much information there’s a reason why they want to offer you $.10 off a gallon and I’m sure they’re using that information of yours to help drive a lower price. Go to Cosco‘s, BJ’s, Speedway, Royal Farms or some other place that may have an easier way to get a discount. This to me is a set up and too much work just to use for a little discount.

  • SmartPay

Be really careful with this smart pay program, I believe it’s come a scam to get your bank information, I signed up and gave them my information that they requested ie bank account number and routing information , few days later get an email informing me that now they want copy of drivers license and a copy of a utility bill, never mentioned this was needed at the time of sign up, I decided to call support from Cumberland Farms and see why they needed this information now and not at the beginning of signing up, the rep just said with an irritating voice it’s about more information needed for security information, this further information so called needed now should have been explained at the beginning not few days later by email, I called their partners zip line to cancel my account, thy wanted my DOB and my last 4 numbers of my SS number to cancel my account you kidding me I NEVER HEARD THIS BEFORE YOU NEEDED MY LAST 4 OF MY SS NUMBER TO CANCEL MY ACCOUNT. I would not trust this company at all!! Things don’t just add up, BE CAREFUL A SCAM IN MY OPINION!!!!

  • Why must it be so nosy?

I wanted to save money on gas and tabaco and I shop at Turkey Hill all the time because it’s across the street. I used to use their rewards system for gas discounts but then they switched over to this app. I downloaded it and started setting it up then exited and deleted.
All TH used to track purchases/discounts was a gift card linked to a phone number (and they didn’t even need the phone number if you just swiped the physical card each time.) All that most other rewards apps need for their most basic functions is your name, email address and a rewards card. WHY does this app need my full name, phone number, birthday, email address, checking account information (um, no!) AND my street address just to track and distribute rewards points? You can’t even create create an account without providing this info, much less explore the features and decide for yourself which info you are willing to part with for which services. The app even recommends scanning your drivers license for “speedy sign-up.” Yeah right. Sus! And annoying!

  • Patricia’s review

Awesome experience took 30 seconds to download the app took less than a minute to set it up and I saved $.10 a gallon instantly and since it takes about $45 to fill up my car that’s a good couple dollars two to three every time. And on top of it you get rewards for everything you buy in the store and free drinks and points so spending money on gas is something we all have to do but being able to go to a gas station or a convenient store and get gifts and prizes and rewards and free drinks for something you’re going to have to do anyway it’s pretty cool. It’s just common sense unless you hate free stuff and money back? Yeah so if you don’t like saving, money getting money back, free drinks and snacks then this app is not for you!!!

  • Requires password and pin every time now

I would rate this five stars, but the purpose of having an app is to NOT have to enter your password every time you use it. Every time I get gas now, I have to key in my actual password, before I put my pin in. This is frustrating, and sometimes my spouse has to call me from the pump to find out what the password is to get gas. Sometimes I’m tired and cannot remember. It’s ridiculous, they should fix this. My phone is locked, they require a pin, why would they also require me to enter my password every time I have to get gas now. It was not like this before. This change has been in the last four months or so.
Also, suggest a submit button after selecting experience. The frown it right where my thumb is and I have accidentally hit it many times. Submits immediately.

  • Great Way to Save

This app for the most part is easy to use, and a great way to save money over time. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the auto log out feature. Sometimes when you go to use the app it has logged you out and requires you to re-enter your password and PIN, not even allowing finger or face ID to work. Easy fix right? If you remember your password and PIN it is! Otherwise you have to reset your password a million times, with super secure requirements of course, which is why you can’t remember it in the first place. I appreciate security, but this app has more security than my stock trading app, seriously. Otherwise, the money savings adds up and the rewards are great to have and keep the kids happy! Thanks Smart Pay!! Keep up the good work, but fix the password thing please.

  • Easy to use

The app is easy to use and you feel somewhat safe for those who pay at the pump. Today it’s so easy for someone to steal your card information and most of the time it’s done at gas pumps and random ATM machines. This app and Cumberland Farms allows you to pay via your phone/app. Now we just have to assume the server storing the data secure and behind some intense security.

I have it four stars because adding my bank info was kind of a hassle as it told me the account was used somewhere else, perhaps my wife’s account but then eventually worked. The company it mentioned to call was a waists of time, not Cumberland Farms but the company that supports to app I assume.

  • Need to improve ability to change bank account information

I have used this app for at least a year now with no problem, however I needed to change my bank account information after a hacker compromised my checking account and there does not seem to be an easy way to do this. I have the Target Red Card and was easily able to update my banking information. However when I tried to update my information in this app it does not seem as easy and user friendly, and unfortunately a transaction through this app was not completed before my bank locked up my accounts, and I needed to reach out to some other company to take care of that payment. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get a hold of someone and today I received a letter to pay my balance plus and additional $35 late fee, and this is not a letter from Cumberland Farms but some check company which after already having one account compromised makes me uneasy. After this experience I will it be using the app, especially since most local gas stations do better deals on Sundays anyways than the Cumberland Farms deal.
