  • First Time Mobile App user

First time using mobile app instead of the card and once I got the hang of it, it was much easier. No more having the bad card read message is a welcome relief. App seemed easy to use and I like that it keeps track of your spending, savings, and lets you know about offerings and discounts that you are eligible for. Only bad experience was when I went inside and cashier didn’t want to be bothered checking my lottery ticket even though it wasn’t busy. I’m writing it off that she was having a bad day. Normally good to great experience at Cumberland Farms.

  • I love Cumby’s

I travel all around Metro West and Boston South. It is normal to have a tremendous experience just for the ice coffee alone. Cost and value are excellent considering the overpriced options elsewhere. The staff is always great.

In addition, As an avid motorcyclist who has done a majority of his riding the evening and predawn hours for the last 35 years,
Having 24 hour Cumberland farms everywhere a ride has made the whole experience better nothing like a great place for a nice coffee and a clean restroom break at 3 AM
I know the company was just sold so hopefully nothing will change. But you never know. Good luck and thank you

  • Thank you for changing my life....

In a world where life can get hectic and you feel like your lucky you even know which end is up it the Cumberland Farms app has changed my life.
It has given me the freedom to have one less thing to worry about.
The quality of all the products you sell is outstanding. My home store treats me like family. I never have to worry about grabbing my wallet. Most importantly I have peace of mind my children always have access to gas and I never have to worry about them getting stranded.
Thank you Cumberland Farms for providing your customers with an outstanding app and experience.

  • Cumberland farms crap pay

One of the worst apps I have ever used. On top of the worst customer service. I got the app to save money on tobacco. One of the cashiers sold me on it by saying it was same day charge and that I would save extra money on gas and tobacco. It’s not same day and even with the cashiers help we could not get the tobacco service set up and even with calling during business hours I could not get in touch with a service rep. Left multiple messages on different “service “ numbers only to have someone call me back weeks later saying a charge did not go thru because I wasn’t aware they were charging me days later. Now I’m being charged for something I have only saved .77 cents on. If I could give it a zero rating I would give it a double zero. I was completely misled and now I’m paying for it. Oh and they still haven’t contacted me back for customer service. The rudest lady ever told me she could not help “ fix “ the issues I am having with the app. Getting rid of the app as soon as possible. Thieves and crooks is all this app gives access to. 🤯😩😞😵😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

  • Great and feels safe

I use the smart pay app a few times a week to purchase Gas. Very convenient and I feel safe with all the credit card skimmers on pumps now. Using the app feels safe as I do not need to swipe a card. Plus Its fun to use for family in different states when they are broke. If they can get to a cumbys I can turn on the pump for them and pay. I do it from FL to NH. Only suggestion I have for an update is to add current gas prices to the gps store finder feature. I know the Murphy Gas app has this and it is great. I have about 6 cumbys within 30 mins from me so knowing who has the best price for gas would be extremely helpful They are in different counties in FL and price can be up to $.11 cheaper so knowing were to go can save allot of $$$

  • Seems safe & easy to use

Other comments/ reviews I’ve read in Sofia media all rave about how safe SmartPay is. A local Cumbys had an issue with customers card info being stolen at the pump. Anyone who paid using the app did not have any issues. It’s also extremely easy to use. My first time using it at the pump I had no clue what I was doing, but was able to figure it out in seconds. I use SmartPay for the convenience, but of course love saving $0.10 a gallon.
My only complaint is that by using SmartPay, the charge takes multiple days to come out of my bank account. Where as if I pay with a debit card, it clears immediately. That’s why I don’t use it every time. If the charges cleared at least within 24 hours, I would probably use the app every single time. I would also then give it 5 Stars!

  • I am so disappointed!!!

When I first started using the app it was great. But I have had problems with the payments being taken out of my account. I would see the payment taken out but then all of a sudden it would go through again and put me at negatives ?? Which isn’t right. This has happened so many times and has cost me well over 300 at this point. This is ridiculous. Today I got a call from a debt collector which I was furious because I can see the transactions taken out of my bank account!!! I already paid the late fee that they took out of my bank account but I HAVE TO PAY AN EXTRA $80 tomorrow!! As a college student who is supporting herself , this app is making me go broke. I would rather pay full price for gas or start going to a different gas station who isn’t going to take medicine from me! This isn’t right and this is messed up!! I will be telling others to delete this app unless they want to get fined for no reason and money taken out even though it has already been paid for !!!!

  • Convenient...yet not so much

The app is smooth and easy to use. I’ve had no problems at the pump or inside the convenience store. However unlike other gas app that use your debit/CC, Apple Pay, or PayPal; this is hooked to your checking account. Any charge made doesn’t show right away on your account. Typically if you charge the gas during a “business” day of the week it’ll show 2 days after sale. If gas is purchased during a weekend day, it won’t show on your bank account until Tuesday. If you have a banking error (either your fault or your banks) and the charge is rejected, Cumberland Farms sends a debt collector to recover the amount charge PLUS a $25+ fee. I think if they changed that, it would be definitely be a 4 star app, maybe 5.

  • Couldn’t do without it now

The convenience of this app is unbelievable. I use it both in the store and to get gas. I’m save enough money to actually look for a Cumberland Farms when I travel. You’d think a debit card is convenient enough but this makes a debit card transaction look slow. I was suspicious at first and thought it was too much work to sign up. Even after I did everything I needed to get started I found I wasn’t using Cumberland Farms consistently and when I did, I used the Cumberland Farms card instead of the app. When my husband had the card, I had to use the app. It wasn’t long before I was 100% loyal to that. When gas prices went up along with my savings, I was hooked for life.

  • Another satisfied customer

Once my pay first came out it was an obvious choice. The reason why for me was because Cumberland farms were all over New England. So I knew that I would always get the cheapest gas wherever I was. I’ve heard lotta people use the excuse that they can’t be bothered setting it all up with their checking account and so on. But it was very easy to log in and create an account linking it to my checking account. Once that’s done, it’s as easy as using my own debit card. And to top it off, every time I use my SmartPay card I accumulate we Ward points that result in me receiving multiple free items such as coffee’s call me drinks and snacks. Another interesting feature of the app is that they track your savings. That way you can see the accumulation of your savings this but dissipating in the rewards program. I’ve already got almost $1000 in savings over the past five years. I can live with that maybe I’ll go on vacation with the extra money.
