  • SmartPay all the way!

The ease of use and simple savings is worth while. If you’re going to fuel up and buy food/snacks/drinks here often, then why not take advantage of the savings. Pulling up to a pump activates immediately when you input the pump number in the app. No wait time whatsoever. I love it. They almost always give something away free when you buy a juice product so it’s an added bonus. I recommend it y’all! Just bear in mind that the account validation may take a few days otherwise from that you’re good to go.

  • Fantastic benefits

Using the app is incredibly easy not only does it save me $.10 in gas I can use it to make in-store purchases both of which Ernie points for free beverages and breakfast sandwiches. To make having the app even better they even gave you extra bonus just for being a member. I get free items just about every month Lake free 16 ounce bottle of Coke free monster energy drinks free bottled water and also it’s of other stuff. On your birthday I’ll send you a voucher for a free pastry. and the best part is when I’m driving and my tank is running low it’ll tell me where the nearest Cumberland Farms is

  • Great app

Been successfully using for several years with 99% success, saving $ and very welcome perks on free items.
My 1% holdout has to do w/the login. My wife and I share the App. If during login we make a error after 3 times you need to contact Cumbies or go on line to reset it. The catch is three errors over the life of your use and not 3 times within the same day or month or year which is the harshest I’ve encountered. The good news is that I have new phone with face recognition which works in conjunction with the App and I no longer need to log in!
BTW- if you need to call their support team they are VERY helpful and nice.

  • Thanks for the $100+ in savings and love the rewards

I haven't had this app very long but since joining I have $100+ I wouldn't have otherwise. I love the convenience, Cumberland Farms is already cheaper than everyone else or at worst it's the same price as the lowest priced gasoline around the area, AND THAT'S BEFORE THE 10CENT DISCOUNT.

My mom was almost out of gas and left her purse at home. Using the app I was able to turn the pump on for her once she told me the store # and pump # and that saved the day! Cumberland Farms you rock!
If you are having trouble with them scanning the barcode on your phone there's a good chance it's your screen protector. I buy stuff using the app, in my case it stopped working (using the barcode in store) but my protector was getting old. That same day I went to my cell store and got the same protector and he put it on. No more problems. The guy at the (rhymes with horizon) store said that even if your screen protector looks clear as they get older they have micro fractures that you can't see, micro scratches from whatever is in your pocket, this will reflect light. So if it doesn't work try a replacement name brand screen protector, before applying new screen protector I would go to Cumberland Farms and try it without a screen protector.

  • Convenient, love the gas savings & freebies!

I’ll seriously drive out of my way just to save the additional 10 cents a gallon and get a freebie! Not only is Cumberland’s gas cheaper without the discount than every other place in town, the additional savings makes it all the more worth it! The one time my freebies “disappeared” customer service put them right back on so I didn’t lose out! I can’t understand how everybody isn’t already using this!!!! Two years and I’ve saved $300+ in gas alone - nevermind all the free coffees, waters and snacks!!! 💜💜💜

  • App review

Convenient and easy to use for gas, not to mention the savings add up! 😁 Only critique is store item purchases are slightly confusing and cashiers aren’t always trained enough to help. Lost a free item promo due to cashiers confusion on my first purchase. When I asked how to do it, being a new customer and my first use of the app, it was redeemed but not put in on the register after I was told to redeem it during the transaction. Instead of getting a free item I was charged for it and told oh well you messed up and redeemed it without a scan. She told me to redeem it and had never mentioned the scan part. Ended up returning it for cash and lost it. A bit frustrating. It was just a soda and she should have owned her mistake in not explaining it correctly by telling me it needed to be scanned or took it off the bill right away at least considering I told her I was new and needed help from the start. Oh well positives outweigh the negatives. Great app though now that I know what to do to be sure it works. Just suggest more employee training to help new app users.

  • Have no choice >_<

I have no choice but to give you 5 stars. After driving toward work in the morning, I didn’t realize I was on E and running out of gas when I got to Cumberland farms, there was no way I could make it 20 miles back to my house or 30 miles to work. I forgot my wallet and my phone wasn’t connecting when I called my wife >_>. What to do, what to do. O_O the app, if I can connect it I can still get gas. Great! Saved money and wasn't left stranded. Take it, take your 5 stars. And if that wasn’t enough I got a free coke and energy drink I got to redeem.

  • Gas prices

Quite simply, your gas prices are not competitive. I drive by your store in North Greenbush every day. You’re consistently $.05-$.07 more than the gas stations just a few hundred yards away from you. Yes with rewards, I’m saving five cents a gallon but for the regular consumer this is not such a great deal. You should price your gas competitively as I am no longer going out of my way to gas up at Cumberland Farms to save five cents a gallon. I work at the college and we talk about this all the time so I’m not the only one who feels this way. Love SmartPay but due to your gas prices at this location either don’t Gas up at your store anymore or find another Cumberland or just gas up at Stewart’s or Citgo down the road

  • Not For The Financially Unstable

Be aware that if you use this app to pay for your gas the money is not withdrawn from your account immediately, as it would be if you used a debit or credit card. The account you have tied to the app is typically debited two or three business days later. If your account doesn’t have the funds to cover your purchase, Zipline (Cumby’s credit processor) will immediately begin debt collection as well as hit you with a $35 fee (in addition to any overdraft fee your financial institution might impose). Zipline will attempt to pull the purchase amount AND their $35 every day until it gets paid!
I consider myself fiscally responsible, but one accounting misstep can result in scores, if not hundreds, of dollars being lost. I’m deleting the app and will not be going to Cumberland Farms for my gas or overpriced convenience items again.

  • Good but design and features could be improved

First time using the app yesterday and purchasing fuel was fine through the app.
However there was no way of checking transaction history and In store purchase history on the app. I felt this was a huge missing part of the app. The ‘Pay’ button is awfully small considering your main primary business is either Pay at the Pump or In Store Purchases, and felt these should remain anchored on the bottom of the screen at all times rather then be all tricksy with your Pay button slide up interaction. As an digital designer myself this app could be far more simpler, more intuitive and much more relevant when serving up content. The concept is very good around fuel payments on phones but the execution fell short through the design.
