Cancelled everytime
Tried using this app several times while in Istanbul but drivers kept cancelling even when I was offering decent tips too. Was staying in Taksim area so there were plenty of drivers but not wanting to take the jobs. Used Uber and didn’t have any issues.Yasseh
Not the best customer service
With BiTaksi you can only get regular taxis and not private drivers which gives taxi drivers a power that some misuse. For example, the taxi driver can charge you whatever he wants regardless of the estimate that BiTaksi gives you. On top of everything, we got scammed by a driver who charged my card AND asked for cash (saying that my card didn’t work). I reported the driver to BiTaksi twice but they did not take care of the situation or refund me.Show lessAbraham 1364
Pointless app
Local drivers in turkey no longer accept rides on this app or Uber as they want higher prices from tourists and If they accept, they cancel. You’ll be waiting ages to get a ride so it’s pointless to download this app. Most taxi drivers there are exploiting tourists however it is better to find a good driver that can stick with you and negotiate a good price with them. This app is a joke
Even though the app calculates your route and follows where you go via GPS, it still has the driver manually enter the fee at the end of the ride, so the driver can still try to rip you off.
The whole point of an app like this is that it simplifies the task of using a taxi and thwarts dishonest cab drivers. Until the entire trip is handled automatically within the app, including all aspects of metering, charging, and payment, so that the driver can’t manipulate the fee, there isn’t really a difference between being scammed by a taxi driver and being scammed by a taxi driver who uses this app.Show lesselgrego1939
Taksim driver rip off
Drivers in taksim square don’t accept fares on the app and ask 3 a 4 x fare price to go anywhere.heyandybee

The first time I ordered a taxi on this the driver came and said because of heavy traffic it costs 500 tl to get me to Ayasofya although the app says it’s only about 100. I said I won’t go then, he asked for me to pay as he already drove to pick me up. I swiped my credit card and it costs 180tl although he got me absolutely nowhere. DON’T USE THIS! I can no longer trust Turkish people after this incident which happened on the first day I arrived. Just don’t use taxi if you’re a tourist coming to Turkey alone because they will dupe you as they duped so many people here.Show lesshebxywngtf
Glitchy Payment System
This app was recommended by others who are visiting Turkey. I was concerned about the taxis scamming tourists so this looked liked the way to go since it’s similar to Uber except it’s for taxis. Everything was fine until it came down to the payment. I completed the trip but it came back to say there was a pending payment. I tried with 2 different credit cards but it still gives me an error message. I called my credit card company and they say it’s not their end because they don’t see any declined charges. Every time I try to process the payment it gives me an error message saying there is a temporary error, please try again later. Now I’m on this wild goose chase trying to see how I can pay the driver.Show lessRoyalwings77
