  • Location Problems

I have been playing the lottery games for several years from the very same place; my little house in Greene County, in a tiny town called Roodhouse. I play them on a laptop with the location and tracking functions open. About a month ago when I tried to check out, it refused me. I called it in and followed the suggestions that were made. The problem continued so I reached out to my internet provider. They made some adjustments to my modem and checked the tower it is using. It is using the Jerseyville,IL tower. I have contacted your office several times about this with no solution to this sudden problem. I have also done everything I can do on my end. I’m a good customer but I am 72 years old and going to the gas station to get my tickets won’t work for me. There has to be a fix for this because I played too long without any problems at all. Really like the ability to purchase #’s onlinethru the app. Makes losing 💸💲$$Money$$💲💸so much easier…and almost oainles..Hee-hee! But. The hopes and dreams are all the same. Winning that multimillion “pie-in-the-sky” jackpot.

Ironic that the tax revenue generating State Lotto games , based on the old Mafia highly illegal #’s game, provides so much public good. And now, legalized marijuana doing its part in providing unprecedented single-source public funds. I can only imagine what’s next to provide more $$$ for the politicians to mismanage. Maybe legalization of cocaine and/or opium. Could be? It used to be!
CocaCola. 7-Up. Dr. Pepper. Bare Aspirin. Codiene cough syrups. The modern possibilities are almost boundless! And now-a-days, one suffering severe pain cannot even get cheap, affective, and time tested through the ages, real narco based pain meds. Not fashionable for todays “thoroughly modern Millie” society. Served my country in combat in the U. S. Army. Would do it again. Love the USA. God Bless America….

  • My payout of $90 is taking two weeks

This app will tell you everything about gambling. Take every ounce of information from you, confirming your validity, taking payments from you for play at record speed. Getting paid takes 3-5 business days with some banks(I learned from the first chat agent) in the first week), or it takes 5-7. Not including weekends at certain other banks because they might think it’s fraud………..So nearly two weeks. I won $100 on the 11th and apparently won’t see this money until the 23rd, possibly. And it’s $90. Lol. They are offering me winnings in the millions in my emails 3 times a day. But can’t pay $90 and certainly not as quick as they’ll deduct that same $90 from your account. The information provided was fairly stale. Happy capitalism everyone. Muah.

  • Every update brings a new problem

Just updated app in order to play new instant games. Now, when playing the instant online games, the home button no linger works from those screens. So after playing an online instant ticket you have to close the app in order to get off of that screen. Illinois needs to fire whomever is responsible for the app.

Update - uninstalling and reinstalling the app did fix that problem with the home button; but this should not have been necessary. The frequent “oops” screen that comes up when trying to switch to another screen (which makes you go back to Home Screen and try again) is still a major annoyance and has been since previous updates. I now just expect to have to make two or three attempts to do most anything successfully on this app and that is a sad statement to make. And yes - location is turned on for the app.

  • Does The Job But Room To Improve

So I’ve been using the app since it was first released. It’s nice having the ability to purchase draw tickets without having to leave the house and can now replay numbers or play favorites. Also nice to be able to check tickets without leaving the house. That said there are a couple improvements that could be done that would make it a much better app.

-Lower the minimum deposit amount to $5, I would figure this would be a no brainer to make responsible gaming easier. Sometimes I just want to play a $5 quick pick on Lucky Day instead of $10.

-I have the iPhone 14 so checking physical tickets can be tricky as the app doesn’t auto focus like the old versions on older phone. I have to do pinch and expand or move the phone up and down to get it to focus. Wish they would fix it to auto focus.

-Have the ability to deposit proceeds from physical tickets into my lottery account. There have been times I’ve tried redeeming a $100 winning scratch off at a gas station and they won’t do it because they don’t have the cash. Would be very convenient if I can scan the ticket to check and also have the ability to “claim” it on the app and winnings deposit into my account which I can withdraw. Basically do what I can do at the physical vending machines when checking a ticket.

  • Getting better but…

With all the technology there should be some way for this APP not to ask me every single time for my Log In information. It’s really annoying. It doesn’t even ask to give one the option of remembering it or not.

Once again, no information is being retained. That includes login info and previously played numbers. I’m tired of having to print out my numbers to play them over again. It’s back to a 1 star for me until you fix this. It keeps happening, so you must be aware of it and should be able to prevent it from happening. I don’t know what recently changed, but it’s awful. It doesn’t retain LOG IN information. Get rid of the winning numbers that block that screen when you open the app. We know where to find them. Maybe we’re looking for different result numbers than what pops up there. It’s very annoying. It’s also not remembering what Numbers I recently played. What a pain to have to type them in every single time. I don’t know them all by heart. It seems whenever there are improvements it actually seems like the app took several steps backwards. I’m not the only one. I talked with several friends and family members. We’re all complaining.

  • OOPS it’s a 500

This app just gets worse and worse with every update. And yes - it has access to my location in Illinois.
It constantly goes to an error page (see review title) and then I have to back up and try another one, two or three times to move to the correct page. This happens for all pages I go to: results, play, account, draw games, transactions, etc etc. it is a maddening time-waster. Today, in addition to having to input everything multiple times, it is now randomly just knocking me out of the app and then saying I have made too many fingerprint login attempts (I made none) and it requires my credentials.
Seriously - fire whomever you need to and get a real working app. Lord knows you rake in enough cash to do that.

  • Fast Play is fun and the app is great, but…

It’s interesting that Catch Some Cash is one of the dominant games advertised, yet the algorithm seems to function the same for most non-winning tickets. The moment I hit a grid for a big fish, I am guaranteed a loss every single time. This doesn’t really seem coincidental. It’s totally possible to win playing Fast Play, but it seems like as a digitized version, there is an algorithm that’s kind of working against hitting big prizes. Which is probably why most of the unclaimed jackpots are in-store purchases… I don’t feel like digital players really get the same odds. Anyways, it’s still fun and you can win decently if you play smart. The app design is really great, and I’ve run into very few issues.

  • Always crashes upon opening

I have redownload this application now for at least 3 months. Everyday I try to scan my tickets and have to delete and remove the app and redownload it to scan my tickets. Why can’t Illinois Lottery get this I T problem corrected. I scanned my tickets for the last 2 days and the scanner was wrong and I almost threw out a $25, $50, and a $10 ticket. Just this morning I almost threw out a $25 Crossword Ticket but, I was smart and checked my tickets at the retailer. Fix this problem, Illinois Lottery !!!!!!

  • Scanner is very difficult to use with iPhone 13 and 14 Pro Max

I waited to write a review until I could test with a new phone, to make sure it wasn’t an issue with my device. On both my previous iPhone 13 Pro and on my iPhone 14 Pro Max, the scanner very rarely can read the barcodes on scratch off tickets. It has to have the perfect amount of light and you have to be the exact distance away from the card to get it to work, as the app doesn’t recognize the iPhone has multiple cameras. If you’re too close, the barcode is way too blurry. If you pull the phone far enough away for it to be in focus, the barcode is too tiny for the app to detect it. It takes me about 20 minutes to read one ticket. It’s faster just to go to the gas station than to use the app.
