Suspecting fraud
This app could be a fraud asking for personal info, but it did not work. I need to verify if it is a legitimate app of the MBNA banking Mastercard???
Can’t setup Amazon MBNA credit card
It won’t let me setup login credentials. I get a random error code with numbers. Useless app.
going back to visa!
can't even setup! keep on getting error codes
Useless
Why do you bother having an app that is just junk? I’ve spent much (too) time trying to login always getting the same error saying my postal code is incorrect. I double checked it with my account info and continued to get the same error. FRUSTRATED AND DELETED IT. Not worth the annoyance.
App doesn’t allow passwords starting with !
Good job. My password security is compromised by writing this review.
Verification via Face ID and the mobile app is great
Very happy with having the mobile app on my iPhone 12. When traveling it’s so convenient and reassuring to use the app to verify purchases - it’s working really well for me! Many systems rely on your mobile number for 2 factor authentication, I have a different SIM card while in the Uk so text messages to my normal (home) mobile don’t work. Using the app for 2 factor authentication works perfectly.

Good App, let down by failing platform
There is a level of frustration that a well thought out and very useful app is let down by its own construction and therefore unreliable performance. It fails for me in the log in process repeatedly. This means deleting the app and reloading. Surely this is not reliability or good customer service. When the app is functioning, the quality and content is really good.
To further compound this, the MBNA app uses the same or similar platform to its parent, namely Lloyds Bank. This app has unfortunately the same unreliability as MBNA.
I ensure my IT is as up to date as possible. The fact that I have used this app for a number of years with no problem is testament to current failings.
Sending a ‘login failure’ feedback sheet seems hard work and time-consuming.
Happy deleting of apps, and of course all the welcoming messages by text as I am a new customer every time! Hopefully, I am not a statistical return figure about new customers…!

Terrible, not fit for 21st century use
Absolute rubbish. You need this app now for MBNA cards to function properly but I consistently do not receive any message from them when trying to make online purchases leading to them being constantly declined. No direct live chat or way to contact an operative via the app, instead it relies on driving you to a phone number on which to call them (completely missing the point of a 21st Century app), where you’re like to send 20-30 minutes to speak to someone...who will invariably NOT sort out your issue. I also have partner cards on my account for my wife, but she cannot even use this app when she installs it as inputting her card details leads to an error message as she is not the primary cardholder. Constant efforts to include her own phone number details as a secondary cardholder seem to make no difference either. This means her online purchases constantly get rejected with a message to “contact your card issuer to provide them with your phone number as part of the two stage authentication process”. In conclusion, seems to work fine if you don’t actually want it to do anything important but absolutely useless if you do. My advice is cut up your MBNA card like I’m about to, get another card provider, and install their much more functional apps. I have Amex and Virgin too and both are fantastic and leaps and bounds ahead of this rubbish.

Unable to type special characters in password
Impossible to type in password to login if your password has any special characters. Wow.
Can’t even get a logon to my account anymore
When I open the app it keeps saying it isn’t tying to open the account and then tells me to login but doesn’t present a login screen. I have tried reinstalling and the same.
