  • So far, so good.

    Just swapped from Norton to Avira as Norton was giving me isssues trying to update my subscription with a downgrade before I did, and it seemed to slow my computer down at times. I’ve only had Avira for a few days, but so far it has been good and doesn’t seem to be impacting my computer negatively. Fingers crossed.

    I am so happy to find this app and really want to thanks the great team of Avira! 😊 This is the ONLY FREE anti-virus that protects you really and don't sell all your data! They finance free users costs with a part of the premium-from money and I really like this type of business model, you have a good free version but you can have an even better if you pay... But you have really the free option! Thanks very much to let us have a protection even if we can't pay expansive anti-virus for the moment! 😊

    I have been with Avira for a long time and I think it is one of the best and price is reasonable I have pro version now. Going to get prime soon as my pro needs to be renewed. PLEASE Avira mobile security for iOS Apple needs an update it base been over 10 months Apple has had 2 or 3 system updates since the last update that Avira has not done anything to keep up its up to you if you want to keep your loyal customers

  • Subscription issues

    Hello, I have a problem when I try to resort a paid subscription it doesn’t work. It keeps saying paid subscription found but it also says another account is using it. I AM FRUSTRATED I already paid and I even subscribed for auto subscription and yet nothing is working. I fail I just got scammed and took from me my money. I’m only using one email and one password, why does it keep telling me someone else is siding it or it says subscription found but not function? PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP. Or just return my money.

  • Constantly turns off and then stalls internet access

    So many issues, yet it will allow you to connect to another countries so - it does work often - but when it doesn’t. It will mess up your entire internet access (as you cannot fix something without internet access, but Avira will stop allowing you to turn off the VPN if there is an issue: and then you are just left their pulling your hair out. I got the VPN to watch Disney+ in Portugal - but somewhere along the way Avira altered something in the algorithms/ and I can’t see how to change it back… then there’s just the logging off or “reestablish purchase” features: they don’t work unless you turn your computer on and off. It’s kind of: ridiculous to be honest.

    TLDR: Their software useless and their customer service is horrible. The free version does nothing and you can’t get any support unless you pay for a premium subscription.

    I used to have a premium subscription but I forgot about it and it lapsed. So I was on the free version. I reached out to them because I noticed I had more threats each time I scanned my computer and the quarantine folder was always empty. I tried reaching out to support, but the free version doesn’t entitle you to support. I started a chat on the website looking for help but they were more focused on getting me to renew that they didn’t address my concerns. When I asked if the free version did anything, I was told “the free version has a smaller pool of virus definitions and if the free period expires it no longer works.” Sounds like it does nothing to me. I would look elsewhere for antivirus and security.
