    App is ok but please add when the credit or service expires. Can only see this on the website.
  • Does not work

    I have four prepaid lines with Spark. For prepaid lines, the app is essential for topping up prepaid balances. However, for me at least, the app doesn’t work for this basic task. I’ve added lines and added multiple credit cards for payment - and still can’t top up. I’ve spent upwards of two hours in chat with Spark support and they can’t get it to work either.

    The app and system behind it are a great idea, but the execution leaves much to be desired.

  • The ole spark app

    I think the new spark app is not bad. Ticks a lot of boxes that I like, but to compare the app to my my spark on the web it fells short for the example if I want to add streaming apps Neon, Sky with Spark sport you can’t do that on the app.

    I think the Spark app is great for basic things and maybe that is what it is designed for so on that side for me it’s great, but the Web is still a go to for the big changes.

    I don’t know what else Spark wants to achieve in developing the app. The news section is interesting and I like to know what’s happening for Spark and where it’s going. Please keep on improving the app.

  • App issues

    When app got updated my registered email address got changed and I couldn’t change password. Went in store for 1 hour and they had trouble and had to get me a Gmail account to view the app. Then in the process my email address password got changed and I couldn’t sort it myself through the change password section so went on line to try get a call back to talk to someone about it. What a performance trying to get a call back they then had this chat thing and want to know your account number date of birth and full name but when I went to look at old email to get account number off course the live chat got cut and I couldn’t rejoin. I finally got it sorted but nothing was easy.

    Not a fan of New app format.
  • Useless!

    You have made your new app incredibly complicated for no apparent gain. The old one was nice and simple and didn’t take me half an hour to figure out how to top up my phone as the “top up” button was right in front of you at the Home Screen.
    I also had difficulty topping up my phone as when I finally found the top up button, the button wouldn’t respond yet my bank account showed $0.01 deductions made from spark nz Ltd Auckland.
    I had to google your phone number as either your app is too hard to use, or your contact details aren’t on it. The man tried to tell my the deductions were bank fees, yet they are clearly labeled as spark. He also told me to log out of app and turn my phone off and on. Neither have worked!

    I Am still yet to get the app working properly to top my phone up.

  • Updated app - No Good

    Updated app - won’t login.
    Enter details and then the app just shuts down. Have all updated software on phone and have deleted app and reinstalled. Still won’t work!!!!
  • App has been downgraded

    I have a shared plan and I am the main account holder yet in the app my wife’s number account details appear first. This was annoying as you’d expect your own as the acct holder to be first. I bought extra data and wasn’t aware I’d bought it as I had no confirmation to me. It was because I used the first account details which was not my own. Then I ended up with more data that I wanted after having to call spark to find out what happened. I see they/you still haven’t fixed the BUG in your app. The old version was better but even that had issues. You’d think with such a simple app you could get it to work properly and logically. Did anyone test the app? They should be fired. It doesn’t work well and the information it now shows about renewal is confusing

  • ‘Rebuilt’ - now the worst app ever

    What. On. Earth.
    New app is a news app that also does a few account style functions. Why would ANY users want this? Did you even do any user testing? It now takes so many clicks to understand my usage, the only thing I actually want the app for, and I have barely anything else I can do.
    Really bizarre UI choices too - why does everything appear to be an ‘app within an app’ pull down type of window. But if you try to pull down on your screen there’s nothing behind it. Like, why?!?
    Also it’s really hard to tell what I can select to get more information from, and what is just static text. How is anyone meant to magically know what is a button and what’s not?
    Please Spark, just give us an account app. The old app was fine. Also fire whoever’s stupid idea this was.
