Use to make BART Safe

I use to report actions on the Bart that need addressed or in The stations. Itโ€™s great. It helps Bart police. We have to help take control of our communities!

Need a way to report non-police matters too

Restrictions make it hard to use this app

I tried to use this app today to report an aggressive gentleman making threats towards Asian people riding the train. The app required me to take a picture of the perpetrator or actually call Bart police before I could make a report. So I have to make it obvious to the perpetrator that I am reporting him so that he can also assault me in order for the app to work. The guy eventually got off the train without harming anyone, but what if it had ended differently? At the very least there should be a discreet option for alerting Bart police. I am deleting this app. Itโ€™s useless.

Loaded the app and it worked for a few days, then a License & Privacy agreement b s popped up, system wonโ€™t accept it. Deleted app and reloaded, now only the L&P comes up and it wonโ€™t accept it.
So utterly useless!!!

Ghetto Bart employees protecting their own kind

Whenever I send a complaint here, responders asks for description. I specifically not mention skin color or race. Responder asks for it. When I tell them suspect is black, then responder proceeds to accuse me of being racist. Are you serious?! The responders are of a certain demographic that protects their own kind. Their own kind are the usual offenders everyone complains about. This is why Bay Area is a mess.

Easy to use and quick responses

Great app to have. You can quickly report an incident, snap a picture if necessary and bart will respond immediately.
A guy sitting next to me used it to report an active fight with three people and bart police were on the next train to stop it.
Phew!

Useless

I agree witb other reviewers. This is an illusion that the bart police cares enough to handle suspicious activity. I recently reported an activity and the person responding to alerts was rude and condescending. I guess it is pointless to report any suspicious activity unless it is someone eating a sandwich on the platform.

Okay but...

That chat feature is ROUGH. Make a thread instead of individual messages

Not accurate

During a major outage last week when BART totally stopped at 5pm the Bartwatch app had NOTHING about the service delay. Itโ€™s useless
