Just crashes on opening
I have been using this app for a few years now fine and works great.
Since about 2 weeks ago it doesn’t open anymore, overnight.
My phone hasn’t updated iOS at the time. Uninstalled/reinstalled still the same.
I have updated IOS just in case still not work now at 13.5.1

Apps keeps crashing
Since the last iOS update this app just keeps crashing and you can’t use it. When you click the support button here in the App Store it take you to a web page in Japanese.
Sorry, but this is not good enough for a company this size.

What happened!!!
As of last week it worked fine a little buggy but did its job and now the app just opens and closes on anything I install it on even tried my iPad that only has software 10.1 on it and still be same thing just opens and closes not functioning at all kinda frustrating since I have put so much money into Onkyo products.... Receiver is a Onkyo tx-nr3030. What gives like everyone else says give us a remote app that works please...Show lessFry113
Happy I found it
My Onkyo receiver remote has been slowly dying to the point of uselessness so I was super excited to stumble on this app, and I am happy to report that all of the functionality is there! No more junky remote or subpar aftermarket remotes.AlexSF
The year is 2020 and this app still works on my 2013 receiver
I never bothered looking into using the app and I downloaded it out of curiosity and it makes using my 7 year old receiver so much easier to use than the included remote. I’m on iOS 13.3dude79
Connection issues
Occasionally connection cannot be established- I end up having to power off the Onkyo NX-727. Also when I exit app and go back into App the connection has to be re-establisbed - the connection should just stay connected in background.Spliffer71
No Updates for 4 years!
This app works for me - sometimes..... It is very frustrating with every update on my iPhone I go through having to reset this app so I can listen to my music. And each setup doesn’t guarantee that Remote 3 will work. I would have thought that Onkyo would be interested in keeping its customers current with technology and update its own apps. I currently have the latest IOS for my iPhone and I have no clue why Remote 3 is no longer working for me. So I write this review and know that Onkyo probably do nothing. I don’t plan on buying their receivers any longer.Show lessDesign to See
Good start
Would love to see full access to the settings via the app ie being able to turn on/off bi amp and volume for each channel etc otherwise a very useful app to haveKohlly
Useless
Onkyo Remote 2.0 worked flawlessly. Then the transition to 3.0 worked okay for a while. It stopped seeing my receiver. Nothing on the network has changed. The receiver still works fine and it’s network functions work properly. Only this crappy app doesn’t work. Is this seriously how Onkyo thinks we will be forced to replace hardware? Tell ya what - if this is how they want to play, I’ll replace the hardware but it won’t be with theirs. Idiots.Show lessgregsdouglas
Switching Receivers
The app works great, but I have 3 Onkyo receivers and I can’t switch between them. I have “auto connect” turned off, but it still auto connects to the last receiver I used. When I open the app, it flashes all 3 receivers, but then auto connects to the last one I used. The only way I have found it to stay on the receiver list, is to power off my phone and the power it back on. If someone knows a way around this, let me know.
