FINALLY fixed the orange light blinking
The Withings Home is the best monitor we've ever had, EXCEPT for the occasional connectivity issues, which would cause the monitor to blink orange. This always woke our child up. Terrible idea for a baby monitor.
This update finally allows you to turn off the orange light blinking. Everything about the Withings Home was spectacular except for this feature. The picture is fantastic; the app well-designed; the video recording was flawless; the lullaby and audio and night light; the VOC detection. Everything. Now we can finally use it for what we've been wanting to use it for.Show lesswaldon

I have my Withings Camera connected over Ethernet as the Wifi in my property has a lot of interference it works fine with me doing that, I think most people are having issues with is their home WIFI not the camera, most 2.4Ghz WIFI routers are poor at streaming video ( it's having to do it twice, once to the router from the camera, then from the router to your device i.e. iPhone or iPad.) so before people pick an issue with the camera look at your wifi system i.e. Change the Wifi channel or check to see if your cordless home phone is interfering etc etc.Show lessitsbruce
Ugh.
So aggravating. Night vision keeps re-enabling itself when I set it to 'off'. It rarely captures any motion even if I dance around in front of it like a fool. When the camera does catch motion, it usually plays back as a grey screen of nothing. I've had to replace it twice because of defective wifi and then from a constant clicking sound coming from the device. I feel like they've completely abandoned this device.Show lessjdg1990
Sometimes...
When it's working it's good, it sometimes takes a little while to connect. It would be nice if there wasn't such a gap in the white noise loop.Starship_Trooper
Mine is perfect
I got this before reading the bad reviews below so was a bit gutted. However I am very pleased to report that its been working perfectly for me. There are some things that makes this camera stand out from the YCam and Canary I have. First is the lag - there isn't any! The view in the app is near realtime. Unlike my Ycam and Canary that have 5-8secs delay. Secondly being able to put the app in true baby monitor mode means that you can still use your phone whilst keeping an ear or eye out. Le produit ne fonctionne plus après 1 an de problèmes récurents. J'ai essayé plusieurs fois le "reset" et cela ne donne strictement rien. L'application voit la caméra via le Bluetooth, mais lorsque je la sélectionne j'ai un message d'erreur qui me dit que la caméra n'est pas accessible. Always a hassle
The camera constantly crashes making it endlessly flash orange. My son eventually wakes up confused why something in his room is flashing bright orange at him. Meanwhile, I've been asleep unsure if he's been calling out. The app doesn't even have an alarm letting me know the camera has crashed or can't be reached.
When it works it's great, but it fails so often for a product where reliability is probably the most important thing that it might as well not exist.
They should not advertise this as a baby monitor because it breaks far too often to be usable as one.Show lessscudco
Absolute garbage.
This is, without a doubt, the worst device I've had the displeasure of using in years. A year ago, it worked pretty well. Slow to load, but reliable. Then they started "upgrading" and adding new "features". This resulting in constant disconnects and reboots. Support was useless, blaming the power supply (which eventually DID die). This thing is completely worthless for its intended purpose, as a baby monitor. You will NEVER be able to rely on it to work when you need it to. A shame. It's nicely designed, but the execution is simply atrocious. I will NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER WITHINGS DEVICE AGAIN.Show lessdchoward1977
Frustrating.
I really want this to be a complete solution for baby monitoring and home security but it is completely unreliable and fails at doing anything. I have ended up spending hours trying to get this to work properly and it never seems to work right or for long. I attempted resets and basic troubleshooting tirelessly. This machine would be amazing if it worked and I do not understand why it will not. I've contacted Withings support and provided feedback but have received no responses from the company and of course I can not return the device now, though I should have. Another complaint is that you can only have baby sounds for a maximum of 60 minutes.Show lessstevenleevan
Camera makes this repetitive noise when no noise is present
In general this is a good app with reasonable support for event logging. These are the problems:
1) camera occasionally hunts and I need to restart it (HW problem)
2) constant click sounds when no noise is present - makes it useless if you want to listen in and see if there is any noise
3) night vision is not good - just checked my home and I can't see a thing, it's totally black
4) motion detection is very susceptible to light contrast changes - not sure if this would be the same with similar productsShow lessJonny V N
