Sneaky tips
It seems user friendly enough in terms of choosing condiments.
I wish there were a way to opt out of certain meats on sandwiches; for instance the #16 Italian forces you to choose all 4 meats. I dislike salami and could do without it.
My biggest complaint is the default tip. This was forever ago (1990’s) but Togo’s was my first job. When a coworker asked our manager if we were allowed to have tip jars at our stations, she was told that corporate forbade it, because it seemed like it was expected. NOW it’s the default in the app? And the percentage is based on the total amount/not pre-tax. I’m not a fan. This needs to be revisited by corporate and the developers.

Bugs
I seen bugs crawling on the brown bags at the location in Antioch ca , off of hillcrest ! That completely freaked me out I won’t be eating there again .
Needs features
The app and online ordering option is almost too brief and straight forward. I have an avocado allergy and there’s nowhere to add an allergy so the staff can exercise caution. Also, where did ‘make it a meal’ go?

Yesterday, I went to this TOGOS to pickup my online order. For the most part this is a good store. Just not great. I ordered my sandwich with pickles, peppers and pepperoncinis with other toppings. I only had pepperoncinis on half my sandwich and NO pepper or pickles.
We order things they way we feel taste the best to us. So, without the pickles and only pepperoncinis only on half the sandwich, my sandwich wasn’t satisfying.
I don’t know the young man’s name that made my sandwiches.

Ordered on the app…
Walked in 1 person getting a sandwich… waited at the pick up/online order section. After the guy made the one customers sandwich he never asked or approached me at the pick up counter. Waited and no sandwich was present (app still shows in process) to pick up and two other customers had come in. They proceed to help those two customers and prepare their sandwiches. After about 10 minutes of waiting and all customers now having their sandwiches both employees walk to the back and out the door to smoke or talk with other employees outside. I proceed to the front counter to ask about my sandwich which still shows in progress in the app and no food present to pick up. After the gentleman comes back in from outside he asks if I need help and I’m like uh I’m here to pick up. He proceeds to grab a sandwich and hands me the bag. I ask why shows still in process in the app and he throws out, well I didn’t know you were here to pick up. Wow. Ok. Note to self, don’t order from the app if you want any kind of service. We run a business next to this togos and go here often. Guess that’s going to change.

Double cheese
I like to order my sandwiches with double cheese. Provolone and American. I don’t see a way to do this with your App.

App Tip
I don’t like the built in tip function. I’m placing and paying on the app with no additional service needed from a human. A tip amount should not automatically be in my order. I can’t go back and change it either.
Needs streamlined processing
This app is ok, I don’t appreciate the request for personal information such as birthdate, etc. Apple Pay or equivalent at checkout would be much smoother than having to enter credit card info manually.
Items missing from order.
So this is the 3rd time I have ordered online from the Carmichael location. Each time they omit the chips from my bag and I don’t find out till I am home. This last time I sent someone else to pick up the order and explicitly advised them to make sure to grab the chips. When they arrived they asked if the chips were in the bag. The employee answered yes but when they got home there was only 1 bag of chips instead of 2. I am so frustrated with the employees at this location. I mean they should, if nothing else, remind the customer to grab their chips if the employees are not going to put them in with the order! I can’t imagine on what business model it’s ok to purposely omit items from a customer’s order and just assume the customer knows they’re supposed to grab it themselves. I mean really WTH!
