Navient Doesn’t Care about YOU
Never ever ever ever sign a document allowing Navient to have you owe them a dime. Paid more than double principal in interest alone in 10 years, and when you call even to have them look at unpaid fees to see if they can help remove some- silence. They can’t even look up the info! They mumble something about regulations- so you’re telling me regulations don’t want people to succeed and pay off loans?? Then if you say Navient doesn’t want you to pay it off to make more money, they say that’s unfair characterization. Yeah, ok, so there is nothing you can do to remove fees or lower the principle on a twice paid loan- and I’m unfairly characterizing?? Just don’t.Show lessIt’s an app… but only barely
I just want an app that can be called “functional.” This thing hasn’t been updated in 5+ years, and ever since I upgraded to ios17, it has nearly become unusable.
Please Navient. Hire a poor college kid to fix up your app for you. Considering the simplicity of it, I cannot imagine it would take a lot of work. Heck, offer $500 off on their private loan and I’m sure you’d have takers. Just update it to be ok again. I’m not asking for the world here.
Issues I’ve found:
Cannot paste my 1Password password in at the login screen - when I press/hold to trigger the “paste” popup, the screen shifts all the way to the bottom.
When filling out the input fields of the “Custom Pay” window, the open window and background move around differently, sometimes with the payment window wandering down towards the bottom. This sometimes means the “submit” button is hidden. Don’t you want my money??
There are more, but the Password pasting issue is a new one for me since the ios17 upgrade. Let me tell you, it is no fun manually typing out a 25-character password that is nothing more than a jumble of random letters, numbers and symbols.
PLEASE… FiX THIS APP.Show lessSo so so so bad
Every login you have to enter your birthdate and social security number. Not a huge deal but after the first 3 numbers you need to click to the next field. It doesn’t move by itself. This is just a microcosm of what’s to come once your in the app. Check balances but don’t move to much after that such as clicking on statements. Don’t do it! You cant go back to the Home Screen. Instead you have to login again to get to the start page. Awful, just awful. It’s as if they want to infuriate you before you check the balances. This holds true for other areas of the app as well such as the inbox. I would avoid it and use the pc version over this. It’s the worst.Show less
