  • Horrible customer service and steals clients money

    I had a client sent me a payment through stripe and then they sent me an email about a dispute that my client and friend never did. Then they kept the Payment in the stripe account and when I emailed them to try to rectify the Situation they don’t respond and my client has yet get her money back and I can’t touch it either. I doubt there is an actual customer service and they falsely Flagg payments as disputes and then shut down my account with payments stuck in there 🙄. And I’ve sent emails for a week straight. NOT A SINGLE RESPONSE. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLATFORM UNLESS YOU WANT TO HAVE YOUR MONEY OR CLIENTS MONEY “LOST” in limbo and no response from any customer support. Obviously if the money doesn’t go back to my client I’m this week I’ll will definitely direct her to look into legal action against the platform that stole her money. On a Fake dispute

  • Good service

    Really enjoyed stripe fast service.
  • Unreliable service, avoid them

    I am partnered through a website called Beatstars through which I sell beats online. Within around a week of working with Stripe, I was allegedly hit with a number of fraudulent charges that were all denied. Due to this, I was indirectly notified that Stripe decided to stop doing business with me because my business was "high-risk". I only had one successful transaction, I was expecting to get my money but the deposit is continuing to be delayed by 2+ weeks, with Stripe saying they are going to issue a refund without my consent. Similarly, they alleged that my business was not eligible and I am currently locked out of my account as I am not able to "verify my account" even though I've repeated the same process over and over again in order to remedy that. I have reached out to them several times but the response each time is that they will respond as soon as they can.

    If you can work with any other alternative site, please do. Paypal has been reliable and I've never had problems with fraud, being eligible, or anything I mentioned earlier prior to Stripe.

  • Awful customer service

    I’ve been waiting for a response to my account which after 14 months of having my stripe account, they decided to freeze my funds. After updating my website to the terms and conditions they requested, no one will give me an answer on when my funds will be available. Being a small business owner I rely on every dollar especially in times like this. Once they release my funds I will never process another payment with them. I’ve already set up a merchant service account with my bank and will process with them. I was promised a call back from a supervisor today at 11 AM, and all I got was an apologetic email with no information on the status of my account. Deplorable and disappointing customer service.

  • Forget this and Fundly

    I’ve been trying for a couple days to fix this, but I had a friend donate money to my acc and suddenly 98 dollar from the donation isn’t going to be given to Stripe for no reason. I know they might not be the same company but the least you could do is give a warning on the Fundly because all it says is “Start a free campaign” I looked onto the Stripe FAQs and that’s when I’m informed about the fees? That’s bull, I refunded the money back but I still have to give Stripe 98 dollars for no reason, thank you, because that’s why I started a Fundly, to pay 100 for nothing. “Payments are processed quickly and can usually be withdrawn 7 days after the initial donation. Stripe will process the funds and automatically transfer the money to the bank account linked.” This is what it says, not a single word about the fees.

  • Seriously unsatisfied!!!

    They have charged so many of my customers unexpectedly and I every single time they try to point the finger back at us.
    My customers come to me and we have to rectify every error at our expense.

    Currently none of my customers can process any payments and are unable to be paid, we have been trying to communicate this issue to attempt to get it resolved quickly but with the poor customer service from Stripe’s team is quite literally a joke.

    Absolute disgrace of a service, keep the first payment for up to 7 days and can’t guarantee payment until between 7-14 days on the pretence of “mitigating risk” when in actual fact it’s to claim interest off your money. Ontop of this abysmal condition-they also charge you a considerable fee for their services which isn’t made immediately obvious when signing up for the service provided.
    If I’m paying a fee I expect my money to clear in my business account the same day, which doesn’t happen with these amateurs.
    You also can’t speak to someone to complain as it’s all done via web chat which is very inconvenient.
    I have written to the ombudsman about my personal experience with Stripe. I would urge you not to take up their services and use a more professional company for your payments.

  • Just downloaded app and it’s stuck in search window

    Downloaded the dashboard app looking for some type of support chat. Hit search and typed in “deposit” and no results were found - really? Now the app is stuck in that window and even if I close it, it reopens to the same place.

    Also, I’m a new user and had three payments from three different customers and it shows that I have zero customers.

    Finally, I don’t understand the different time frames for receiving my money. First was a credit card which took 7 days - horrible, but I think that’s what the documentation said. Second payment was also a credit card - two days! I was thrilled and thought that the first one just took long because it was first. So I encouraged my next customer to use stripe - they paid via ACH - I thought that would be even faster since it’s cash. It now says estimated time is 7 days! Why in God’s name would it take 7 days to pass cash from one bank to another? If it really takes 7 days I’ll be looking for another payment processor with faster turn around.

    I’m paying a fee, you don’t get to float my money for a week as well!
