  • Latest iteration is a lot less functional that the last

  • Helpful, but

    “View key patient information” is the only function I can use. Very helpful for looking at what is scheduled in the near future and what has happened with those patients. Ability to easily identify types of note (absent in desktop app) makes reviewing the history a breeze. Not helpful for much else. I have been unable to enter notes or use dictation feature. Unable to order anything. If I respond to a Patient Comm, the recipient has reported not receiving the response. With no training, a link to a user manual would be extremely helpful. As a psychiatrist, NextGen (Desktop & Mobile) is the least user-friendly EMR I have encountered.

We also have these available in SalesForce and in our Cloud Portal application.     This app is terrible…clunky, kicks you off randomly, way too complicated to perform simple tasks.

  • Worst EMR available

    Cumbersome, fussy, unstable, very, very poor human interface. Engineering response to complaints not available. No clear ability to sort diagnostic codes. Workload increased by three fold when we started using it. Wish I could torture it but I can’t. Any other questions, then you didn’t read my review.

We are currently working on the Diagnosis flow on the Todays Visit tab on the patient chart which will allow DX reorder. Our Spring Release in April will introduce our new interface also, but if you happen to have further on comments on areas of improvement you can reach out to me at hflood@nextgen.com.

  • Very buggy

    Very buggy with limited functionality. Would be nice if you could complete a whole visit from within the app. Medications are grayed out and can’t send scripts. Can’t do referrals from app either.

    Hi RQB4, I would appreciate the opportunity to troubleshoot with you, as Medications is available in Mobile with proper configuration. Referrals will be added later this year, we are currently doing discovery on our designs and would love to show these to you to ensure we are building what you NEED. Also, please take a look at the Todays Visit tab, where we are building out a whole visit experience, with great things to come this year.   • Terrible. Slow. Never up to date

    The app is always behind. Never syncs or is up to date. I constantly have to uninstall and reinstall the app, which is a huge waste of time & then you have to login all over again.

    Thank you for your response, however, I just checked and there is no update available.
    NexGen consistently needs to be closed out and restarted to make any progress in the app.
    There are consistently delays and loading issues. Blue circle of death on repeat. Very frustrating and a waste of time.
