  • Mostly OK, some gaps

There are two “gateway activities” to earn rewards, one being a biometric screening. It’s not at all clear how to get to the third-party portal for the biometric screening. I always have a hard time finding it. It’s not intuitive that you have to click “View Results” to get started. Since it’s only a yearly thing, I forget and go to the external app (was Quest, now LetsGetChecked) and can’t log in to activate my sample kit. This round, I visited the Rally Help Center and found it was under construction. So eventually I messed around and discovered that it’s the View Results button that gets me there. It’s complicated and frustrating. Then I tried submitting this feedback in the app itself and got the “Oops, something went wrong, please try again” message. It’s a text field and a submit button! What could go wrong?

  • Moving forward and making healthy decisions

I love this AP. It’s making me move forward and stay on track with my health. I’m setting goals for myself and walking 10,000 steps a day, and making sure I go outside and get fresh air. I have sleeping goals and I’m getting to bed earlier and not looking at my iPhone before I go to bed. I feel refreshed and motivated in the morning. I am also making better decisions when I go grocery shopping by eating more fruits and vegetables. My lifestyle is changing because this AP is making me accountable. I also get excited when I go in and mark the task complete. Step by step I am making a difference. Thank you!!

Wonderful to hear! Thank you and keep up the great work!
  • Too many bugs

I like the program but there seems to be issues with the app. There is a barcode scanner where you can scan and get the nutritional information. I scanned rice and it said it couldn’t find. Scanned another food and it brought up another brand. When searching certain foods you have to figure out how they have it listed or it won’t come up. Example: searching foods from restaurants you have to type the food then restaurant not the name of restaurant first. No place to specifically track water but you can under the meals. Problems with logging in. It says it can keep you logged in for 30 days. I have not even been on the program for a month and it keeps logging me out. Also says my password is incorrect. I’ve had to change it 3 times already. I guess I am holding it up to WW standards because their app is so great and user friendly. I can’t imagine the problems a less tech savvy person is having if I can’t figure it out.

  • I hate Rally

In the app itself there is a screen for submitting feedback. Once I wrote my feedback it gave me an error message that said I couldn’t use two Special characters in a row. Bear that in mind as you read what I wrote:

“ I just really hate Rally. The app is, year after year, difficult to navigate and use. Some links pop open into a new window where I have to set up info before doing whatever it is I needed it for, and it’s even more difficult to find something I’m looking for. I just got my biometric screening results back and I have yet to find the results on this app (thank goodness the company that does it sends paper results in the mail). I just hate it. Altogether it’s just way too complicated while appearing streamlined and easy to use. Even submitting this feedback I’m getting an error message about using “special characters”. I’m pretty sure the most exotic characters I’ve used thus far are parentheses. What on earth. I just really, really hate this app.”

Additionally, when I came to the iTunes Store to review this horrible app here is the text that was automatically supplied for me:

“Extremely easy to use. Helped me to get more motivated about missions and challenges. I would highly recommend this app.”

Are you kidding me? That is the polar antithesis of how I and everyone I know feels about this app.

  • Unintuitive Design

I want to continue using this app, I really do. But it’s incredibly frustrating the amount of times I have to log in to my account through the app and in Safari. At this point, it doesn’t make sense to use the app at all and just stick with logging in from a browser. Another frustration is how difficult it is to find where to check in for my daily activity. It’s hidden in the rewards tab, rather than the activities or home tab like the rest of my goals. This was difficult to find in both the browser and the app. There’s an error when I try to switch over to the ‘Find Care’ tab. To cash in Rally coins, I’m unable to view the deals without cashing in my coins first. Lots to improve on and I hope these issues get fixed because I was really looking forward to utilizing this app because I see how it could be beneficial.

Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. We have many updates coming that will address some of your feedback. Thanks again!
  • Unable to delete all my data

Rally collects TONS of data and after my insurance company used them (and got access to my data with my consent) I no longer wanted the app or for them to have my data. There is no application workflow for deleting the account. Further you can’t do this even on the web. You have to call a support number and then they log a ticket to delete the account which takes a week to process. It took me ten minutes on the phone to do something that Facebook/Snapchat/etc will let me do with less than 5 clicks. What kind of second rate application, especially in the PII/PHI regulatory world, doesn’t have this kind of feature built in out of the gate!?

  • Updated, changed to 5 stars. Check in on Activity has changed

Developers quickly responded and corrected. I use this app daily and truly enjoy starting my day off with the positive reinforcement.

Following is my original complaint. With an update when you check in for an activity it takes you back to the top each time when you select done. Previously it took you to the next activity. This new change is frustrating and time consuming. I am a faithful user, but if not fixed soon I will not continue to use.

  • Level Up with Rally

This app has opened my awareness and the access to track my health daily. It’s something you always talk about doing, but never seem to get around it. I will say the incentives are definitely a motivator. And not just the fiscal gains but the newfound obsession with having tangible goals and accomplishing them all AND it’s good for you in every wellness way possible (mental, physical, & spiritual.) One of the best decisions of made in 2020. Especially with everyone suffering from heightened chances of developing mental illness or having increased levels of those same illnesses. If you haven’t discussed Rally with your friends and family, you are really doing a disservice to your people.

  • What makes a great app

The app would get great ratings if the support system was great also. The app email 2-step verification has not worked for me. It may work using a cell number that is not VOIP but I will not know because I choose to use email and that hasn’t worked. The support call in wait time is 60 plus minutes. To open a support case it asks for your birth date. I personally don’t like giving information like birth date to open a support ticket or cell to get a verification. So I can’t support this app that seem to only send you to a slow web site to use the app. To me an app on your phone should run on your phone and not send you the web.

  • New update is hot garbage

All the recent 1 star reviews are factually accurate - the UI refresh is bad. Want to do a “City Walk Milestone”? Click on Activities and then... Browse Activities and then... Exercise? Group Challenges? It’s buried and nowhere does it even say “City Walk” except in the Reward section. But not only is the UI redesign bad, it’s also full of defects. I click on the first “Group Challenge” called Hollywood Hustle and it says “Details: 30 Miles -16 Days” - what does negative days mean?? So I join London Lunge which says “5 miles 3 days” I hit the 5 miles and sometimes the “Milestones ring” shows it’s at max reward and sometimes not. I think maybe it’s 7 miles? It’s not obvious. I hit 7 and it consistently shows the Milestones ring all green. It ends. No reward. Now it shows the Milestones ring as not full. Must have been 9 miles? Who knows.

Hey Dev Team - how could this release have gone better? Did you spend enough time on unit & integration testing? Maybe UAT so you got this feedback sooner?
