  • The app does not work.

I don’t understand why there are so many five star reviews. I have deleted and re-downloaded the app on multiple occasions. It says it’s up to date, but so many of the buttons and links don’t work. It does not appear to be possible to log Physical Activity check-ins for my bonus Program Activity. The website has a button to do a check-in, but it appears to do nothing but refresh the page.

With the new update, nothing seems intuitive. (Or the buttons just don’t work. Or both) I try to join challenges and nothing happens. The Activity Page cannot seem to load properly. As stated above, the website seems almost as bad. I like the idea of Rally, but much of it is frustrating to deal with. Then, the update made it unusable.

  • What happened? Too much & too little usability

What was (until the version late 2020) a kind of fun way to track goals and activities with iOS integrated services is now a bloated app that is difficult to navigate. What does work is now too many steps to access. Further, when checking in to track goals, each click takes you back to the top and scrolling down again wastes time and effort. Each page has too much information and the content is confusing. I would prefer to go back to 2 separate apps again. I now dread tracking and checking in with goal checkins. Does it work? Yes. Does it have a ton of content? Yes. Do I find it helpful? No.

  • Horrible new interface

Like what other users said, the new user interface is horrible. The original interface was pretty good. I don’t know who is the person in the management thinks that it’s a good idea to change the interface to the current one. What I used to access now requires me to click through so many places to get to. Some of places I just can’t figure out how to get to. Some locations can’t even register the action no matter how many times I clicked the button. To the Rally Health management: you don’t need to change something that’s is not broken. If you just took over the management, you don’t need to change the app to show that you’re doing something for the company. If you are not a smart person and you don’t really have any good idea, your biggest contribution can simply be leaving the good things untouched!

  • .,

At first, I was resentful to complete these little programs on Rally in order to acquire a discount on my insurance; however, I have come to appreciate the assistance they offer, how they keep me accountable, and keep me focused on my goal. I highly recommend the weight loss supports, the materials which were mailed to my home, the interactive group sessions, and the calls from nurses, following up on me; asking me pertinent questions which help me to stay fixed and determined. I always thought loosing weight was something I should be able to do on my own; but getting the phone calls and receiving the timely soul-searching conversations, has truly been a support to me at this time of my life.

  • New physical check in not good!

Now that the app has changed to “physical activity check in” I am not given the option to check in at the gym (which yes, is open even in COVID-19). Also it does not register the first time I check in- I’ve had to check in twice every time since the switch for it to go through. It also takes way longer, routing through the rally health website (so I go through my app but then still have to log in on the web), adding more to the annoyance of checking in. Before the change it was very simple & easy to do. Not a fan of the new version. Not sure why this changed, and tho I like the option of activities other than the gym, it should not be this difficult to check in. Otherwise I like the app.

  • Rally Age Functionality/Accuracy

I used the app a few years ago via employer’s healthplan. Employer changed to a different healthplan for a few years, then returned to the former plan, making access to Rally possible again. My account was still in Rally system, but I have been unable to update or retake the Health Survey which determines a Rally Age, and appropriate recommendations vis a vis the app. Very Frustrating to follow instructions for retaking the survey, and then end up stuck on a page with no way back to the app, and dead links to the Health Survey. If I try to accomplish this through my profile menu I get dumped to my dashboard, even though I selected to retake the health survey. Hope this can be fixed. Trying since January; even deleted the app and reloaded it back on to my phone to make sure that I had the most current version.

  • Doesn’t Always Track Goals

My one complaint is not all daily challenges track properly daily. I walk every day and always wear my Fitbit. Sometimes the “walk 2,000 steps a day” AND the “walk 5,000 steps a day” will show 0 steps. Meanwhile I exceeded 10,000 steps that day. Not only do those goals show 0 steps, when I click on them, the message will read “take device with you to automatically track...” This also happens in reverse where the 2,000 and 5,000 steps goals show more than 10,000 steps but the 10,000 step goal shows 0. In addition on these days the “walk 3 miles” goal shows 0 miles walked and “take device with you to check in”. Meanwhile I walked 5 miles that day.

  • Horrible!!!

I signed up for rally with high hopes. Man was I super disappointed! A friend told me about it and that when they signed up, they were immediately granted 1000 coins. Which sounded amazing. I called to inquire about this. They were honestly very unhelpful. I was then transferred, when they told me no we will not do this for you. When asking why they did it for my friend and not me the rep I was speaking with said well if it makes you feel better you said in an email complaint... wow.... just wow. If it makes me feel better. I am very disappointed! It was disrespectful and shows the level of customer service they are willing to give. Be warned they are not helpful!! I would not recommend to anyone!
I would give a zero if I could!

  • App

This app is a great motivator but needs upgrading so that the user gets accurate credit for time exercised. The app seems to freeze up and in order to get number of steps walked to match between devices the user must sync constantly. Should be automatic. Should have a goal icon of how many miles left to reach the 33 miles required by our insurance plan. When the 10,000 step goal ends the user may think they have reached the 33 mile goal and stop walking. I have had two or three weeks where I missed my 33 mile goal by 1.3 miles because I didn’t realize that I had to go to challenge page to see that I had not completed the challenge. The goal and challenge page could be on one page to make it easier to meet goals. Just need a big upgrade.

  • Great App

I think the app is pretty great. Responsive and interesting interactive experience with other users.

The only thing I find frustrating is the coaching missions that send you to Rally on the browser and make you sign in ever time. Also what is the point of using the Rally app if it’s going to send you to browser which is hard to navigate on a phone?

I’m also personally not super interested in the rewards in the marketplace but I have noticed they tend to change so I’ll save up my coins and have enough for something good when it comes up.
