Account blocked, no outstanding balance, no late payments, no changes to my bank account information and no resolution from their customer service team!

Cashapp Card
I like having this app but after being offered it within the cashapp app with a new card and using it that way I’m now unable to use this app as it wants me to go thru cashapp . Cashapp doesn’t offer many stores to create a single use card and make a purchase in payments, that’s why I had both apps. Now I can’t use my favorite store because it’s not offered on the Cashapp App and when I’m trying to login to my Afterpay App it says that I have to go thru Cashapp. Smh, the stores are now limited!

Update not working well at all
It’s been the update has blocked access. I cannot use the account now for more than 30 days! Ever since the app update. I have verified myself serval times. There is supervisor or customer support team agent. There is no technical support agent or tech supervisor. In 1 week it will be 60 days. I have not been able to utilize my Afterpay account. I can make payments but no purchases. I am a DV survivor this is so unsafe to keep giving your ID. To this person that person. Not sure if this information will be seen. By the very person or someone you don’t want to know your information. The app update needs to be deleted. I was told serval times. We have the proof now it’s been added. You have been verified. You will be able to use app in 7-10 days tops. Yet it’s been months now. Then I speak to other Afterpay agents They say it looks good on their end. Try to use regularly. It’s just the gift cards. No it’s both that isn’t right. Lastly when u go on chat they give options to correct. Just fill out information. So it will be cleared. Once it is presented and you will be able to access nothing still!

$600 spending limit and can’t use. What’s the point of allowing such an allowance and say “due to my credit” I can’t use it. Make it make sense.
Bad customer support
Afterpay support is trash! I’ve been using afterpay for over 6 years! Recently the app prompted me to verify my identity, (which is perfectly fine) unfortunately for some reason it’s saying the address is wrong (it’s not). I spoke with customer via app, and phone. No one listened to the problem. They just keep saying basically when the app wants to it will unlock. I have to wait for a cooling off period but no one knows the apps cooling off period. Insanity is I’m paying off an order and my id isn’t required for them to take the money for that. An if the app would prompt for my ID to be given the whole issue could be resolved but it doesn’t ask for ID.

Horrible Customer Service
AfterPay of course uses an AI bot instead of humans making their customer service horrible. AI can’t answer basic questions. Once my payment plan is paid off I will no longer use this app. AI is trash on so many levels, do better.

New gift card system
Don’t get gift cards here anymore the new system introduced is horrible. I got a JcPenny gift card (e-gift card) and JcPenny is not honoring them and the company is saying issues continue to pay. Buyer beware. The switch was not an upgrade and introduced fraud risk.
Scammer friendly
They will side with scammers. I provide evidence that I got scam but the scammer “just” showed a receipt on their end and Afterpay went with them. Marked my problem as lost/stolen. DO NOT USE APP ANYMORE!
Bugs Need Fixing
I normally love AfterPay. But lately every single time I go to use it, particularly at Walmart, the order glitches. I’m charged for my order but the order does not submit to Walmart. Each time I have had to fight with AfterPay and somehow prove that my order did not submit to Walmart. How do you prove that?? Each time AfterPay acts as if I’m just trying to get something for free. Look, I do not want to be AfterPaying my GROCERIES dude. But here we are. I should be able to trust this is going to work and I do not have money to be tossing away while you guys figure out this glitch. It’s also really annoying that there is a chat but that it takes forever to get someone to email back about an issue. So, today is a holiday and I’m out money until someone returns to office. Not okay.

Forces Payments on Canceled Services
"Afterpay offers zero buyer protection and locks you into payments even after you try to cancel the underlying service. A merchant refused to process a prorated cancellation, and instead of stepping in to mediate or allow me to dispute the future charges, Afterpay just forces you to keep paying for a service you don't want. Terribly inflexible. Do yourself a favor and use a credit card that actually lets you dispute predatory charges

Doesn’t work half the time.. but they’ll make sure they charge your card.
Target never works on the app, and Walmart never goes through, but will still make sure to charge your debit card! So if you need something in a pinch, don’t count on the last of your funds going to good use - you’ll be waiting days for a refund and left without whatever you needed to buy.

Only a select few store work
Every time I try using this app the only store that it allows me to buy from is amazon. All these other stores are featured but none will allow me to “create new card” make a purchase. I also have plenty of purchasing power with a balance under $50 on a previous AMAZON purchase so it’s not like the money isn’t available. If you are going to advertise all these businesses on your app then you better be sure it works. That’s a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Do better
The app is so difficult to use that finding basic features is a big problem. Switching from Afterpay to Cash App still doesn't let me use it to buy anything. Add an icon where customers can easily plan purchases and pay back without hassle. None of these icons appear in settings or on the main page. I can't even find the virtual card either 😡.
