Multi factor falure
Used to get in fine until update that forces multi-factor auth. Now can not get in at all. Text message never occurs and call back fails (no texts or calls never happen). No option for email verification. Stuck and can not get in.
Clunky, cumbersome and not user friendly
It’s extremely concerning that there was an update on this app 5 days ago and no one has been able to login, yet EMPOWER hasn’t felt the need to fix this. They also don’t allow you to login via their website so I am completely logged out of my account right now.
Aside from the current (and completely baffling)issues.This app is too clunky and difficult to navigate. I’ve been using Fidelity from my previous employers for the last 15+ years and their app blows this one out of the water. So much more user friendly and intuitive. This app makes it way too hard to look at the simplest, yet necessary, info. You can’t easily see how much you’ve invested per year or pay check, growth per year, company contribution or really anything you want to see in one screen or dashboard. You can’t even go back to the previous screen or menu easily. This is by far the worst financial app I’ve ever used. Truly terrible design and functionality. Why anyone would CHOOSE to use this company to manage their money blows my mind. I will begin lobbying my company to move out retirement plans to a more competent and capable company. What a joke.

The worst banking institution!
My goodness Empower is by far the worst banking institution that I’m enrolled in! Every other day I experience some technical problems with accessing my account. Whether it’s from mobile app or online using a browser. So bad! Stay away from them!
Can’t Login via Website or App
Can’t Login via Website or App for over 48 hours. And I’m not waiting on hold for over 3 hours trying to get through to customer service who’s says they don’t know what’s going on. Check the down detector website!!!
